Upscale burger joint offering all-natural burgers & craft cocktails amid cowboy-themed decor.
Overall a decent experience, the shakes were definitely the star of the menu! The burger was a little disappointing since it had come out to the table room temperature as well as the fries but overall still tasty.
8 oz has been my fiancé’s and my favorite burger place for years. After moving away from Seattle 4 years ago, we were so excited to finally have a chance to return so that we could have their delicious fondue burger again. While the burger was okay, we were disappointed that they seem to have changed the recipe. The fondue burger seemed to be lacking the delicious rich flavors we had once loved. After my first bite, I was able to taste the green garnish on the burger more than anything else inside the bun. Could have just been an off night, but I don’t think we will go out of our way to return on our next trip to Seattle.
One of my favorite burger spots in Seattle!I love coming here whenever I am in Seattle and bringing others to try this spot. Everyone I have brought to here so far really enjoy 8oz Burger for their food, drinks, and overall vibe!My go-to here is the self-named 8oz Burger! Its their signature burger with bacon, onions, cheddar cheese, and truffle aioli! Its so hard to try a different burger whenever I am here because I enjoy this one very much! For this style of burger that they promote, they make it right! There is so much flavor in the meat! Oh, and I also get this on a Pretzel bun, as there is a good texture with the bun and it seems to hold the burger together better!Their sides are also not to one to skimp on, as their Garlic Truffle Fries and Onion Rings are great!Make sure you add this to your list of burger spots to try as they have a lot of good options!
Usually Im grumpy spending $20 for a burger and fries but not this time. This isnt your average overpriced burger. Its an amazing overpriced burger :I got the fondue which came with delicious onion broth. It was worth the money and Ill go again.
I ordered a chicken burger, and it came out very fast. It was all that I wanted from a chicken burger, with a little extra flair. The only problem was the limited amount of non-alcoholic drinks. They only had Coke and Sprite.
One of my favorite burger spots in Capitol Hill! I’ve NEVER gotten a bad burger from them and they have great service every time of day even when the area gets busy. A bit pricey but worth it!!
Really good burgers. Very flavorful with a rich bun that had a good taste of its own. The fries were not good though so wont recommend them. Tried a shake as well and it wasnt great, it was just alright. Id go here just for the burgers. Theyre on the expensive side around $15 as of July 2022 but worth it.
It’s always been our favorite burger place in Seattle! Still taste good! But the environment is lightly disappointed, when we visited, there are few flies flying inside
As someone often looking for veggie and vegan options, I get bored with the typical Beyond or Impossible offerings. I was relieved to see 8oz had a house-made patty to try. It was excellent! Highly recommend.
Delicious burgers and the truffle fries are fantastic. Great happy hour as well. Cant wait to go back and try their shakes one day. Below is the 8 oz burger, truffle fries, and fried string beans.
Great restaurant! Burgers are huge and juicy, the onion rings are buff af too.Staff & service is great, they are nice and chill.
Delicious 🤤Do not wait, come here now!I had the classic burger and truffle friesAlong with a few adult drinks.Lovely staff
Dont believe the hype. Small portions, average to slightly above average burgers, high price tag. If you order to go your sides will be quarter sized. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but after attempting twice I cant say that these are even close to the best burgers Ive had.
One of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The staff was so pleasant even while another lady changed her order 4 times after it was sent to the kitchen. The two staff members were running back and forth between the kitchen each time to make update it at her whim. And then she got upset at the wait and after complicating her initial order of a union and fish sandwich. Staff was very patient with her (better than I would have been, felt bad for them for having to deal with such a horribly rude lady). And then as she was leaving with her updated order for the 5th time she called them both vulgar names.
The beef in the burger I got was very overcooked and very dry. This is definitely NOT "the best burger in Seattle" according to other reviews. Ive had better burgers all over Seattle. BRGR Bar, Ben Paris, Some Random Bar, Cyclops... hell, just pick a random pub and youre likely to get a better burger. Definitely is "the driest burger" in Seattle, though.
8 ounces of pure grass fed goodness. As with all new burger places I eat at, I opted for the simplest burger on the menu to gauge the cuisine. This is no ordinary cheeseburger. It wasnt a soggy greasy mess, rather the meat was perfect. In-between the patty, the buns were soft and toasted. The cheese was aged white cheddar. The fries look to be cooked in the classic double fried method since they were crispy. They even serve organic ketchup!
Delicious Pesto Burger but unfortunately had to have it well done due to take out only and was on the dry side; would have been perfect if served medium or medium rare. Garlic Truffle fries had minimal hints of Truffle oil and excessive fresh garlic; was too potent to finish and not well balanced for my taste but the Kennebec fries were nice and crisp. The best dish was their Short Rib Poutin fries. It was a good sized portion of shredded short ribs with tasty, dense gravy and melted cheese curds.
What can I say about this place burger was awesome and we really like the taste of beef in that it was so juicy and tender in taste. We got der garlic fries along with our burger, fries were good compared to other fries which we had earlier but only negative thing if I can point out about this place is price . I found der burgers are but pricey and if you getting side along with that it cost u more
Hands down the best burger Ive ever had. I had the 8oz and it had so much flavor. The brussel sprouts were great! I love mine extra crispy and they were able to make them extra crispy. My friend got the fondue burger and that too was yummy. The service was amazing. Clean restaurant. Fast service. This is a must try place. I plan to go many more times.
The service is ok,The burger is without any taste, it just looks nice but actually without the bacon is worthless, the French fries also very dry and thin, not a good experience.
The food was great! My husband had the 8 oz. burger and I got the union burger. Our favorite part was the fries. The truffle garlic fries are delicious. Our server was very nice and explained the menu well. Overall it was a great experience. I recommend stopping by and grabbing some burger and fries.
I loved the place. Nice and cosy. The burger was delicious. I had IPA onion rings, and those were literally the best onion rings Ive ever had. Loved everything.
Yummy burger! They put rucola in it, so the taste is bit unique. Feel like not too heavy
Went there for a friend’s bday celebration and we ordered burgers and shared appetizers. LOVE the 8oz signature burger so juicy and fresh. Usually I’d had trouble finishing a whole burger because it’s too filling. But the 8oz burger is too delicious to let it go waste. Great value, nice atmosphere and friendly service.
From out of town.1st time here and wanted to end the trip with a good burger. The food here was absolutely delicious!I got the "Build your own Burger".-Grass Fed Beef-White American and Cheddar cheese-Bacon Mayo-Roasted Garlic Tomato- Topped with a Fried Egg and Bacon fig Jam on the side- And a nice soft Brioche Bun... Amazing! One of the best burgers Ive tried so far. Would definitely recommend to any burger lover and would definitely come back to this place! The size of this thing was on point! Also ordered Sweet potato tots on the side.. Also amazing!Thank you "8oz.Burger & Co." for making my last meal here in Seattle worth it!
Because of the thick pattie, the burger looks better on the picture than it tastes. I was expecting more juicy pattie - but it was dryer and less flavorful than I thought.Ordered the popcorn chicken dish. Dry as well. The fries are surprisingly very good.Good service.
My favorite menu item: ‘Plate ‘O Bacon’! That just about says it all. The burgers are large and gourmet and as a low carb guy, they make the best “bun-less” burger I’ve ever had. Along with great beer and a good happy hour, this is a must visit restaurant! Or order via UberEats.
Outstanding food, so glad my man introduced me to 8oz burger. The Banh Mi doesnt disappoint, he loved his pork belly kimchi so much he wouldnt try mine!
Cute little place, excellent service, good location. Grass fed beef and free range chicken as well as a veggie burger (I snagged a pic of it at the table next to me-its the one with the cool looking lettuce bunand other veggie dishes. My server was excellent.Food not so excellent. Seattle Soda brand-not so good. I had ginger beer on tap and it was good.Burger isnt seasoned- guessing, as it didnt have much flavor. They ask how you want the burger cooked. I requested medium well. However, even with a stick in my burger labeled m. well, it was at best medium. But most of it was really medium rare. The burger slid out of the bun each time I tried to pick it up or take a bite. Bun was very soggy inside. All of this made it tough to eat and enjoy. Very messy. I even cut it in half. And cut the 2nd half in half again. Finally gave up and took the burger off the bun and finished eating with a fork and knife.I ordered the Lunch Special-Classic Burger and French Fries for $11. Burger comes with Kraft American Cheese Slice-great disappointment, especially for a company that boasts their food is of the highest quality, etc.). If you want to swap out this really poor choice of cheese, you must add at least $1 depending on the cheese. I got cheddar for $1 extra. On the build your own menu this burger is $10 and you can add cheddar cheese for $1, making it $11. Only downside, you dont get the fries, which is no big loss since the fries are very blah. Guess frozen. The Classic Burger is supposed to be 8oz, like all their burgers. However, it didnt look as large as other burgers in the photos and those being served. The fries seemed to be a smaller portion as well-although still plenty. My guess is the lunch special must be a smaller burger and fries for the $11. No problem, just advertise it as such. Overall its a cool little place, but I dont know if Ill be back.
My boss gave me a gift card for this business and I decided to invite my cousin to try it out. I had the Bahn Mi with onion rings and Sprite. The Bahn Mi was delicious the Jalapenos gave it a very spicy kick. The onion rings were ok but I was hoping for better. Overall a very good experience, one I would definitely recommend.
Great experience. Full of flavor. The truffle garlic fries were great. The selections were plentiful. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. The burgers are cooked as requested. Definitely worth the stop.
Great burger joint with an extensive burger menu. Took me several minutes to decide but then I finally chose the garlic sauce and bacon fig jam sliders. My husband chose the 8 oz. burger and apparently it’s the best burger he’s had (ever). The sliders were great. I could only eat 2, they were very filling. Fries were complimentary during happy hour (yayand the service was quick and attentive. The only downside is it’s very loud so you can barely hear your own thoughts. But it adds to the ambience on some level I suppose. Definitely a must visit.
I love burgers, and 8oz does them really well. Good beef actually cooked to the doneness you ask for, fresh buns lightly toasted, high quality cheeses, real bacon, good sauces.Fries are nice but nothing amazing. Poutine is tasty, but Im not an expert there.Prices are a bit high. Youre paying for the extra quality, so if you wont notice it or prefer a different style of burger, it might not be worth it.This is the place I bring people when I want to show them what is close to my ideal burger, and I will keep coming back.
A great burger place! Our server was really friendly and orders came out fairly fast. The burgers were cooked medium by default and tasted amazing. Happy hour lets you add in fries if you also get a drink. The $10-15 burger price matched the really good quality. If youre looking for a good burger in Seattle, I highly recommend stopping by this place!
Stopped in for lunch and a drink after a morning full of typical tourist activities. Food and drinks were prepared quickly with a minimal amount of wait time. There are plenty of various options of burgers sure to please anyone. The portions were large enough to share. Definitely worth the stop if in the area.
I dont think its a stretch to call this one of the best burger experiences Ive ever had. Its more of a thick "gourmet" style burger so its not really fair to compare it to a fast food style burger, especially when it comes to price. But for a nice juicy burger with delightful nuanced flavors, I cant remember a better example than the signature burger here - The 8oz. On top of the burger, I also had the pleasure of trying the PBJ shake and it was totally worth trying even knowing I had to walk back out into the cold weather after the meal. Im really looking forward to my next visit.
I came during the 4PM - 6PM HH and was not disappointed. Juicy burger, crispy fries and fantastic service. This quaint burger stop is mid-scale ambience with high-scale flavors. Highly recommend for any burger aficionado.Kudos to 8oz Burger & Co!
Our bartender was great, his name was Nick and he gave a really good recommendation. I think it was called the Jackson? Sorry if I got that wrong. Anyways, he recommended I get it with peppers and it was delicious. The fries were great as well. It was very entertaining and the food was great. If you are in the mood for burgers definitely give this place a shot.
Good lawd this was good! I went during happy hour and our meal was perfect! If youre debating if you should share fries or not... share. The burgers are a solid size and you wont leave hungry. The beer during happy hour was pretty tasty as well!
Really the only place we actually liked in Seattle. Yummy food, great selection, fine service. Totally recommend if you’re a burger fan.
The burgers here do sound very good, but many of them were just lacking the "deliciousness" that I expected. The only one that I had loved so far is the Pike burger. It was a perfect balance of spicy and flavor.Overall, felt this place was a little over priced for the quality. And the service kinda seemed to have a slight attitude at the bar. And I never got a water refill either. Just was hoping for something a little more.
This is my favorite burger in Seattle. They get everything right - fresh bread, and juicy patty. They also make these jams that they put on the burger, or you can ask for it on the side. It really is quite unique, and I love it. The truffle garlic fries are also amazing. Watch out for the spicy stuff - they arent messing around. The habanero jam is seriously hot.
The location is weird. The food, the drinks, service and staff are all great. Portions small for the price. The fries are outstanding though. And those milkshakes are mind blowing. It was a quick stop for food and drink for me so I will be definitely coming back again.
Wonderfully presented burgers with amazing taste packed in! Large selection of well crafted burgers, with a tasty list of boozy shakes to wash them down. Id give it a 4.5, but since I have to choose a whole number of stars I leaned towards 4 - simply because it didnt blow my socks off.
We got take out and the food was quite tasty. We ordered the truffle garlic fries, caesar salad, popcorn chicken and The 8oz burger. The burger was good—packed with ingredients and flavor. Its a bit overpriced for just the burger (min. $11/burgerbut I guess thats the standard for gourmet burgers. Next time, well go back and check out the restaurant.
These are my usual order here - the 8oz burger with Wild Boar meat (mediumand a delicious PBJ Shake. These two are my fav combo! This is not your average burger joint. It is a bit pricey but it is soooo worth it. High quality ingredients and packed with flavors!! Even the organic ketchup are made by a local co. in Oregon.I will definitely be back.
One of the best burgers Ive ever had. I ordered the 8 oz burger, medium rare (thats how u do it, Canada!), and the burger came deliciously pink in the middle! Also had the sweet potato tots and small french fries with truffle oil and garlic (shared the sides with my partner), both excellent as well.
This was the best Burger I have ever had, and I have had alot. I order the Hill."The Hill"arugula, braised Painted Hills short rib, fried shallots, demi glace, fontina, horseradish dijon.... I added Wasbi Ranch to it.The Horshradish Dijon and Wasbi Ranch, set the burger off, mixed with the Fontina cheese and demi glace was the best mix.Cant wait to go back and try all the other burger.A++++++ From Me.
Great burgers and good beer. They have a happy hour meal deal which is shown in the picture. 8oz burger and fries for $12. The beer is $4 during happy hour. Great special. The burgers here are special because they know how to make a fancy burger without overdoing it. You can still manage to eat the burger without it falling apart. Plus there arent so many toppings on the burger that you cant taste the burger itself anymore. Overall great place.
This is my second time here! The first time I went I had a stomachache afterwards probably because the banh mi burger was way too spicy. And I eat spicy Asian food on the regular, so Im not sure if its always that spicy or the cooks just screwed up.This time I had the Madison burger and my boyfriend had the boar burger and the ipa battered onion rings. Those burgers were fine and overall everything was pretty delicious.Burgers will run you around $10, and the place has a nice selection of alcohol. Its your typical hip place: wooden tables, bearded bartender/servers wearing plaid, and water served in glass mason jars/vases or something. I dont really care as long as the food is good and the staff arent too in my face, but arent completely absent either. Overall pretty decent.
