Lively indoor market hosting local shops, bars, bakeries & a variety of counter-serve eateries.
Go check out Gino Ds, its the best pizza in town.
Very interesting place. Lots of good shops. Momo food was awesome. Nice coffee shop service as well.
Ive been twice now and I have had to fight GNATS to enjoy my food. I will only visit in the future to purchase cheese from Orrmans and popcorn from Its Poopin, but Im not eating any food from there again. Disgusting. Yall need to clean better!
Looks like could be great but only 1 good place was open and getting a cup of coffee took 15 minutes.
The market is a place where you can order wine and sit inside or outside and enjoy beautiful views of Charlotte. This place also has tons of stores and restaurants inside.
Unique looking place! I love it! You can find something special for everyone!
Was able to walk in and found a great indoor marketplace. You can grab food, souvenirs, wines, and expensive cheese.
Almost every stall here is great. Ive enjoyed the food and the places all have friendly and helpful staff.
A neighborhood market with an excellent line up of local businesses including several top restaurants and shops selling gifts, wine, and coffee
Fun place with good food. Just jump off the train at 7th St. stop.
we had the pizza be prepared to spend it was 18$ for a grandma Sicilian and it was the size of an ipad another 13 for a 10 inch i spend 30 plus tax pizza was good but overly priced market also has other food options sit outside its beautiful the trolly train passes
What a cool place to check out! The food options are fabulous. Great spot to support local businesses.
It was my first time eating at the pizza place that there and I have to say it was good. I had the pizza knots and they lived up for thr name. It was delicious and so cheesy 😋
Wow! This is what I miss from city living. Great little neighborhood market with nice variety, friendly service and good prices. It was also very clean
Most of the places were closed but hopefully the waffle place will be open when you go. If it is you absolutely must get a waffle from there, they are amazing! Savory or sweet you wont regret it at all! So good! The waffle dough is a little sweet, so even if you ask for a savory one you will have a sweet and savory experience. Im not a savory/sweet combo person but I enjoyed it regardless, so dont let that turn you away. Really they have no business being that good, lol.
Momo Station doesnt disappoint. You will want to try the fried and steamed vegetarian or paneer dumplings. Absolutely delicious with sauces. The wait it worth it!
Great little place. Smaller than I expected yet has some good stuff. I recommend the Belgian waffle place. They have really good bacon waffles.
Very good, lots of changes since I was there last, but all the changes I think are positive. Theyve done a great job.
Great casual spot for lunch or even a laid back date. Several vendors to choose from that have somewhat changed after time. Amazing grilled cheeses and quiches at Orrmans to waffles at Leige waffles. Plus beer, wine by the bottle, and fantastic coffee. Currently as of July 2022 they have Momos station (Nepalese dumplings and curries), Leige waffles, Not just Coffee, assorted table wines, orrmans cheese shop, an Italian pasta vendor, viva raw, and a pizza vendor.
WOW!!! This food is the bomb!!! Youre looking at fresh bucatini pasta with pancetta and a creamy garlic sauce. A friend and I shared, very rich, very delicious, very worth it! ❤️
Wide selection of food offerings that will meet your appetite, with > 75% of ingredients being locally grown.
Great spot! A few cool shops and lots of unique food options!
Never crowded and you can always get something good to eat. Places to eat have changed in the inside but still good. They also offer free parking if you eat in the inside.
I wanted to like it, but it was too small and not family friendly. I guess if youre going for wine and cheese or perhaps site seeing in the Uptown area, then its worth a stop. But if youre looking for a food hall for a large group of people (with something for everyone), then I would do Optimist Hall a few miles away.
Food is excellent, plenty of wine choices, location easy to find. Park in the garage "cheaper", not across the street in the open. Only wish there were more food choices and less alcohol.
Expected more reading the description of the place. Some spots were empty. Just one shop, rest is dining. The food we had was good.
Great little market place with various food vendor stalls. Sometimes they host special events. There is a nice wine shop inside that can enjoy nice glass of wine with food from one of the many vendors.
Great little market. Had some delicious tea from the coffee place. Enjoyed looking around the shops. The pizza at Geno Ds was amazing!! Being from NJ/NY area Im always skeptical of pizza anywhere else, but this was top notch!
Wonderful atmosphere! Most places have very high prices but it was lovely to be in there. We got a large fruit and fused water which was worth every dime. Highly recommend them.
The cheese shop & coffee spot were AMAZING! Would love to go back and try more stuff. Everyone was extremely nice and knowledgeable. The cleaning crew we interacted with were very kind and helpful.
Quite a charming place, just not enough businesses on site. Specifically, considering that they have a cheese store, a vendor selling all kinds of artisan bread would have really helped. A charcuterie would have been a dream.Regardless though, its a nice atmosphere to have a quiet, relaxing meal or just sit in peace for a while.
This is smaller market but packed with many fine shops, mostly eateries ! All indoor and enough dining tables in the middle of the market. One gets a homely feeling if you get inside.Car parking is metered street parking on weekdays or paid park houses nearby. This is next to the street car stop !
A awesome place to sit and chill for a good drink and bite of food. The environment was family orientated and casual
This place is located in a pretty good spot and has a small but vast array of shops. I went to "not just coffee" and the service was excellent and coffee was great! Id say expect to spend 25-30min here
This place was really nice and popping. Parking was close and very affordable. I would definitely suggest going thru for a nice drink or quick snack or meal.
The food from yolks was good. The fries had a lot of flavor. Tried the chicken sausage but wasnt something I really liked. The Its Poppin was outside selling popcorn and fruit juice. I got the lemon and strawberry. It was very good and had free refills.
Great moments with friends by night. Love the atmosphere. Appreciate the Asian Food. I discovered a new beer and they have a large variety of wine.
Tip: You can validate your parking ticket for 90 minutes if youre eating food here. Just scan your ticket by the pizza shop. Scanner is mounted on the wall. If by light rail, the stop is literally at the door. Once you get inside, its like a warehouse with tons of vendors to choose from. Beer, wine, pizza, omelettes, crepes, grilled cheese, coffee and the list goes on! Place is usually busy but theres plenty of seating as people are always coming and going. If you cant make your mind up do a few laps around and let your tummy decide! Tip #2: Bathroom is in the back right corner of the building.
This place has some of EVERYTHING! Spend a weekend with a hotel special & walk through downtown Charlotte NC. So many little nooks & crannies to visit. This market is so diversified, we can learn something from each others cultures. You can sit with total strangers to learn new things. Very casual cool place!
Really cool place with a handful of restaurants/cafes/bars. They validate parking in the back corner.
This place was great while I visited Charlotte. The location featured many different eateries to choose from and one outstanding coffee place. While on my visit, I had breakfast here three times. Its within walking distance of many hotels and right along the light rail. We had breakfast at uptown yolk and coffee at not just coffee. I recommend both.
Small little public market, with lots of small business owners offering various tidbits of goodness. The wine store is a funky little shop with lots of offerings, and little collectibles as well. Popcorn flavors were great and served with a bucket full of friendliness. Cheese, gelato, and more!
Note: This review is for Uptown Yolk, NOT 7th Street Market as an entity.4-stars instead of 5 only because they got our overall order wrong on two notes (the type of toast we requested and they didn’t put the pecans we asked for on the Belgian waffle). Also, the waffle is a little dry, and the shrimp and grits lacked salt. The chicken wings that came with the waffles were DIVINE — well seasoned and moist! The grits were saved by the well-seasoned shrimp and this green sauce they drizzled over the grits. Service-wise, the food came out within 15 minutes of ordering and the young ladies working the counter were very sweet.I’d go back and try their egg white omelette next time. With a mimosa from Assorted.
Eclectic little place on 7th Street that you can buy anything from Nashville Hot Fries to local beers! They have gift shops with designer bags and hornets t-shirts. The uptown yolk has Pork belly nachos and Raclette burgers!
Really cool space with small shops - anything from spices and soaps to pizza and ice cream. Small grocery in the back with organic, locally grown veggies and eggs. Awesome place to spend some time, but it is generally quite crowded.
Came through to pick up some goodies as a house-warming present and stop in for a quick lunch and this is a wonderful location to find great local stuff. Met an awesome individual at Orrmans who recommended some great cheeses and recommended other hangouts in Charlotte. Found local honey, fairly priced wine, and a tasty grilled cheese sandwich. Hot tip: the parking garage tickets can be validated for a visit under 90 minutes with a purchase in the market.
Its a hub of great restaurants, wine shops, shops for souvenirs and lot more. The ambiance of the place is just amazing. There is train station right next to it which take you to Convention center and all the other parts of the city.
There is plenty of food options here with some shops. The location was a little difficult to find, because it is on the backside of the building. I had sushi during my visit, and it was decent.
What an amazing place. I just love that you can get so many different types of delicious foods in the same area. The concept is very good and the place is always crowded.
My husband and I visited the 7th Street Public Market a week or so ago during our trip to Charlotte for the Renaissance Faire! We absolutely love this place. Whether youre looking for a beautiful cup of coffee or an ice cold beer or something to fill your belly, this place has got you covered! The atmosphere is really chill and cool with lots of natural light, a perfect place to go for breakfast and soak in the morning vibe! Everyone we talked to that work here was really sweet and told us a lot about Charlotte and cool places we could go on our trip! We cant wait to come back! :)
