If you gonna drink alcohol they have good variety but food menu isnt that vast enough. They have a Sri Lankan food mixed with the international combination. Good ambience.

Fantastic paella Great service

This is regarding the unpleasant experience I had while I visited Colombar with a couple of friends yesterday (11/06/2022). The Restaurant and Bar Manager-KAPILA was beyond rude and condescending. He treated guests poorly and had no regard or respect towards his staff members as well. He tends to certain guests inconsistently while being extremely attentive towards a few guests. We are highly disappointed with the quality of service at this renowned bar and this is absolutely the worst experience we ever had at such a prestigious hotel.

They charge 3,000/ only to enter the larger space under the tent which has good music. If they take reservations they direct you to the old colombar in the small area with a vibe that feels like walking into a family wedding. Disappointed. Never going there again.

Expensive. But the good music with live bands is always a good way to unwind. Reserve a table. Very hard to walk in and find any space

We visited Colombar on Tuesday reached at 11:30pm there was hardly anyone, understandably bcos it was a weekday.Band was playing some local songs.Was at the bar and wanted to order some drinks. My friends asked the barman what kinda whiskey and vodka they had available.This Over confident Bar man who thought he knew it all started mentioning all high end brands like Glen 12 years Chivas 12 and so on….And I ordered a Virgin passion fruits MojitoAnd I got the post judgmental look from this kid who must have just started working there. Customer service was really bad. All the other staff had nothing to say just watching this guys make fun of a customer just because she is not drinking 🤷🏽‍♀️.A five star hotel never expected this kinda service. Also he was the only one not wearing a mask. Not sure where the Manager or supervisor wereAnd the Mojito 🤮 come on! You could definitely do better. He told mint leaves was unavailable I was alright with it. When I got the drink it was full of Cordial. If he just told me we don’t have fresh passion I would have never ordered.It maybe 15min for the bar to close but you don’t make a drink just for the sake of making it.Also we had to repeat our order 3 times because he was too busy doing nothing. What I felt was he saw my friends drunk and thought I was drunk too. Overall very bad experience.

The vibe and the atmosphere was not good at all. Smelled like a smoke bomb just landed next to our table. . I did not like the crowd because they were very drunk and eyeing on us like they were about to rob us. Food was bad and it was extremely spicy. We did not even finish our meal just ate some of it and left because we felt some drama or a fight was about to happen and no point staying there and eating spicy junk.

This place used to have great customer service. Last time we went there ut was terrible. So this wont be the go to place for Friday or Saturday nights from now on

First of all, some of the waiters were really rude, and sad I didnt get their name to complain about their behaviour.But the place is okay on Fridays and Saturdays. The music was so bad. The band played on 18th Feb sucked and Dj was worse.

Lovely ambiance facing the lake. If you preferred you can sit outside main hut closer to the lake which is ideal during pandemic times.Live band is superb too.Almost all the cocktails are Sri Lankan arrack based and they are unique in taste and presentation.

One of my favourite places to be for a chillax evening or for a party mode. I usually goto Colombar⁩ which is now located at the WaterFront Lawn. (Dock where the Dinner Boat is parked)They have LIVE band music throughout the week and also special all-day events from time to time.Prices : Colombar⁩ prices are faily reasonable being a 5 star hotel pub in Colombo. And they do offer combo deals where when Bottle is purchased the chasers & a bite dish is Free of charge.The staff is very friendly and supportive.I go for the Local Arrack / Gin option usually. Get a table beside the lake for a nice breezy evening or a table close to the band stage onthe opposite side for a more rocking and party mode.

Sunday Nights are alittle Chill and not sooo crowded, better than Fridays n Saturdays

Extremely poor service. Booked both royal thai and colombar. We had the dinner at the royal thai and went to colombar but they refused the reservation. I understand having empty seats till we come from royal thai is a loss. But it should have been told earlier that we can’t book two outlets at once. Since we were at their hotel they should have kept the reservation. The way they spoke to guests are really unprofessional. Don’t recommend anyone this hotel.

It’s a nice concept . Premium arrack bar with Colombo based food and cocktails .. but food is a big let down . Colombo food is much tastier .Good music and good service . Please improve food quality

Good place 🍻 Nice Crowd, Good Music and affordable rates. Ideal place for friends and friendly gatherings + Birthdays + Anniversary Celebrations. Food was okay but freshness should be improved more. Hope everything will recover after the renovation and reconstructing process. Till that stay chill 🍻 Highly Recommended.

Lovely place by the lake. They have very unique dishes and drinks that I haven’t experienced anywhere on the country. Recommend outdoor seating. Try “Lanthaeruma” drink. Cheers!

Loved the atmosphere, the food was delicious we have ordered mix grill that they were given secret recipie of srilankan mix sauce was amazing.

Best hangout spot in Colombo right now, specially on Fridays thanks to the amazing bands performing. Alcohol prices are very considerate even though the food menu can be a bit hard on the pocket. Anyhow, the food is amazing and a good night out is guaranteed. The staff is on top of their game, so no complaints there either. Would recommend to anyone who is not sure where to head out for a bite and some drinks.

This is a lovely place with a lovely atmosphere. Went in a Wednesday evening and it was packed. Although would have hoped the authorities were more insistent towards social distancing etc. Anyways the band was good which provided a good atmosphere. Only thing about this place is that the alcohol is Arrack-based only. So you need to be a fan to enjoy here.

An outdoor bar run by cinnamon lakeside hotel, which is located in a good environment.All the cocktails are inspired from local arrack and they do serve beers as well. The food is good except for the tiny portion of pizza, not to mention they serve bar foods.Good ambience, live music, spacious

One of the best upcoming bars in Colombo! The best cocktails for sure. All the flavors are island themed, definitely lets you go down the lankan memory lane. The atmosphere is super chilled, in both temperature and vibes!The bar is situated overlooking the lake which gives a slight chill and its super calm.The staff is amazing, giving the usual Sri Lankan hospitality, wearing modern themed sarongs to match the theme.I have to give a special shout out to Namal , Haadee & Basita! They served us really well, super friendly and gave us good recommendations on food and drinks, the service was quick aswell!The band that was playing was really great aswell!
