Description
Privilege
Really good food and very friendly staff. Awesome little downtown that still has some life to it.
MoreMagnificent food, not too pricey. Live music playing when we visited. Ordered pizza, salad, WV Egg Roll and Jerked Chicken Quesadilla! All were great! And the ketchup was to die for. Tasted just like homemade! Will definately return next time Im n the area.
MoreThe steaks for dinner are amazing...stop by and see nick the best bartender in the area guaranteed....
MoreNice restaurant with large menu but not too large that it was overwhelming. Great for the kids too
MoreWe had Fisnlh n Chips and they were excellent. Sweet waitress.
Overpriced mediocre food. The atmosphere and decor reflect a typical bar, but the restaurant is unsuccessfully trying to serve finer dining options. Sandwiches come with a bag of potato chips. During our entire dinner, there was an un-bussed table with food leftovers sitting out the full meal service. The server was friendly but struggled with drink refills, and meals were delivered staggered. Id skip it and drive a little further next time.
MoreWe have eaten here before and its been ok. This time, pretty disappointed. We opted to sit outside, the host tells us to pick any seat and someone will be out. He had picked up menus for us, but didnt give them to us. After 10 minutes, my husband had to go in since no one had come out. He found our waitress we have had before who is awesome, finally.....service. I had the Alfredo with crunchy chicken. So very disappointed...the sauce had separated making the pasta greasy. My hubster loved his crunchy chicken sandwich. Didnt get our drinks refilled until we were leaving. Maybe they were all just having a bad day. I still would recommend.
MoreIt was a quaint little place with friendly folks and the food was good!
Delicious fish and chips and onion rings. Generous portions. Traveling with pets, got take out and ate at the picnic table in the pavilion out back. Great stop! Next to a little river park to walk your doggo.
MoreGreat lunch and really fast food service!
Pizza was delicious! We sat on the porch, very nice small-town feel. Wish we lived closer, so we could go back!
MoreGreat location, great layout, great food, great service. Chicken pesto wrap with avacado and artichoke hearts was delicious as was the margarita pizza. Onion rings are the best you will ever eat. Big fresh onions sliced daily and battered fried upon ordering.
MoreNot sure it even deserves a 1 star. Ribeye was gross, potatoes were from a box with no flavor. Very, VERY disappointed and will not return.
MoreTop notch food and service. The outdoor seating area is great, and my shrimp and grits couldnt have been better. Topping off the meal with ice cream from Homestead Creamery is a real treat. Why pay Greenbrier prices with food like this just down the street!?
MoreFirst time there. Went to dinner for grandsons 9th birthday. Good food and our server was awesome. Her name was Penny and she was right on it.
MoreLove having lunch here! Jerk Chicken Quesadilla is my fav!
Fantastic ribeye steak dinner! It was huge, so we shared this dinner and it was just perfect. Unbeknownst to us, they were giving all ladies free dessert for Mothers Day.. so this was a real treat. Service was super fast and accommodating too!
MoreGood lunch except my sandwich order was seen under the heat lamp for over 5 minutes while my spouses order was completed. As soon as the second order was up, they were brought to our table. My sandwich was warm but no longer fresh. The cook staff could do a better job coordinating the orders.
MoreI live in Covington, VA and there arent too many places to go out to eat at. I thought I would take the 25 minute drive to WSS to investigate new places to eat. Glad I saw this place and gave it a try. I had the chicken parmesan and it was fantastic. I was sitting outside and the noisy traffic driving by was not too bad on a Sunday evening. I will be back!
MoreFirst time eating here. What an amazing place!! Beautiful decor and atmosphere. I ordered a burger and it was one of the best I have ever eaten! Cooked to perfection. We all enjoyed celebrating my nieces birthday at this wonderful place!!
MoreGreat service, food, and atmosphere! Clean & friendly. Will definitely come back next time we are in town.
MoreThis is a great stop, not far from the interstate. Clean and welcoming. Great food, I got the Irish nachos and the fish and chips. Nice bar and plenty of seating. There are a lot of screens to watch sports.cool location, near a couple creeks and a spillway.
MoreWe were staying at The Greenbrier and came here for dinner. Food was very good. Service was very attentive and friendly (Thank you Melinda !!).We plan to return.
MoreWonderful front and back of house staff.Great food and beverage selections at reasonable prices.Truly a great luncheon dining experience. I will definitely return!
MoreQuite the fine dining experience on a recent late weekday luncheon. The ladies, from the kitchen, dining room, and bar were harmoniously spot on!The experience was made so outstanding by the team that everything from beverages to food was customized to our preferences.Having personally worked in both Front and Back of the House positions in The Hopsitality Industry for over 50 years, that was an amazing day, cuilinarily and otherwise, in WSS, WV!
MoreMy wife and I were traveling home east on I-64. We wanted to stop and eat but not at a chain restaurant. So we decided to stop in White Sulphur Springs. We were going to eat at another restaurant in town but it closed at 3 PM on this 9/11. I am sure the food would have been good there. But boy did we luck out. We drove down Main St. and my wife said lets eat at 50 East it had good reviews. We now know why. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was FANTASTIC. My wife had the Pecan Crusted chicken loved it. I had the ribeye. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection. We will be back!!!!
MoreGreat drinks, food, service and atmosphere. The Peach Bellini and the Peach Moscow Mule were great, and our burgers and salads were delicious.
MoreFood was excellent and atmosphere was casual dinning. Great waitress but it did take some time to get our food. I would definitely recommend to others.
MoreGreat service and hands down the best pizza in town. Love this restaurant. Would go more often if they had a couple vegetarian options, aside from cheese pizza. Recommend in spite of this.
MoreWe were staying nearby, and decided to visit for dinner. We ordered pizza, the toppings were all fresh, the crust was clearly hand tossed, and the pizza was delicious. The bartender and our server were very friendly, and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Would highlight recommend a visit!
MoreGrabbed food after hiking all day. Food was delicious and staff was welcoming and friendly. Didn’t have to wait long and when I got home food was still hot. I ate mango habanero wings that were OUT OF THIS WORLD! As well as salmon and red potatoes that just hit the spot. Looking forward to coming back again.
MoreFood was really good, very big portions. Service was top notch. Our server (Pennywas extremely friendly and the best server we had since visiting W.V.
MoreIts one of the few good restaurants in WSS, It is nice to seat outside when the weather let you. Food is good, service is great!
MoreOrdered the avocado chicken wrap and Philly cheese sandwich. Both meals were very good. Went there twice during our weekend stay at Greenbrier for the car show.
MoreMy daughter and I ate here on a recommendation from our Airbnb host (check out The Guest House). It was FANTASTIC!! We both enjoyed the signature burger. The meat was so juicy and flavorful--probably one of the best burgers Ive ever eaten. We had fries and onion rings on the side. The beer-battered fries were amazing. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was inviting. Overall great experience. Will definitely go back if were ever in the area again.
MoreWife and I just left here. We arrived for an early dinner to only one other couple in there. Another came in while we were there but still slow. Two servers were working. While our server was friendly she was very slow. We would sit on our hands for quite some time to order. Turns out they were out of something the wife wanted. Imagine that. Running out before the dinner rush. Wife got the Quesdella which she said was mediocre. I got my all time favorite in Fish and Chips and they do not serve Tartar sauce. Ugh. They do serve a remoulade sauce instead which is no replacement for Tartar and this sauce was so so at best. We sat on our hands for the longest time when we were done eating before the server would come over. We ordered dessert and both were good. We still left the server a 15% tip as we know she is a hard worker just as we are but come on, the restaurant was not even busy so no excuse for slow service.
MoreThe food was very good and the atmosphere was nice for a local restaurant
We have been visiting the Greenbrier this week and decided to grab lunch off grounds. What a great find at 50 East. Our sever Carrie was wonderful and our lunch was superb. My hubby loved the homemade onion rings and the brioche bun for his sandwich. And I was equally impressed with my Greek salad, excellent!
MoreEven with Covid-19 restrictions this place was great. Service was fast and spot on as was food preparation. The meals I had there were fresh, plentiful and boasting in flavors. The absolabsolute best tasting garlic bread I have ever had. They actually crushed the garlic cloves, spread it and butter on the bread and grilled it. It was so awesome.
MoreWe were looking for a good place to eat out at as part of our trip to the area. Place looked well maintained from the outside and was very nice inside as well. Food was great and so was the service.
MoreGood food and service. I mean look at that buger. It was great.
Oh my word, what an amazing place! We live nearly 3 hours away and are totally willing to drive back to WSS just to eat there. The food is out of this world (you must try the WV Egg Rolls!and the staff are top-notch. I highly recommend it!
MoreWe found this place very close to the Greenbrier. It is in the center of town. We were seated immediately.Very happy with the homemade soup, fresh cut sweet potato fries. Great burger. Will definitely be returning.
MoreLove this little restaurant. Food is very good and plenty of it. Had the philesteak which is very good
MoreThe waitress was super nice the food was great. Had the small pizza, which is big enough for 2. Would be 5 stars if, they had Coke Zero.
MoreExcellent menu, great atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor dining. Very generous portions. Service was spot on and friendly. If youre staying at the Greenbrier and want to have a nice lunch (or dinnerin a more casual and relaxed atmosphere, 50 East is the place!
MoreGreat late night spot for food! The hamburger was good, the fries are excellent. I almost ordered a second batch. Everyone liked their food and the best part is that they stay open late even on a Sunday!
MoreService was awesome. Prices are pretty fair. I ordered the mac and cheese burger, medium, and it was so rare it basically walked off my plate. I ordered it to go so I didnt go back.
MoreThe service was excellent. Never had to wait for refills of our drinks. Had the fried green tomatoes and WV egg rolls and both were very tasty. Had the 50 east signature burger one with fries and the other with onion rings. Cooked the way we ordered and I have to say the onion rings were excellent.
MoreI often stop by 50 East when headed to gigs at the Greenbrier Resort. The food is always great and the service is excellent!
