45 Jermyn St, St. James's, London SW1 6DN, Kidatu
Elegant restaurant with terracotta booths and a marble-topped bar, for brasserie menu and cocktails.
Absolutely delightful restaurant for lunch. Louder than I thought it might be but such a lovely atmosphere, sublime food and attentive service.
really good service and food, but pricey. surprisingly have seats for walk in on a Friday evening which is great!great steak tartare and crab salad. the steak could be less cooked imo but still good! the wagyu pasta was a bit salty but good overall.
Nice way to get seasonal truffle dishes which are rare in London. Food was okay but the experience was clumsy!
Beautiful place for brunch in London. Quiet and classy, their eggs royale are delicious. Its a tad on the pricey side but worth it if you are looking for a special place to celebrate something
Despite the somewhat diner like atmosphere, the restaurant has a certain charm. The service was on point. The food was outstanding! In particular, weve sampled a few Beef Wellingtons around London, on this trip and this was by far the best... prepared perfectly, with table side flambé of the au Poivre sauce. A savory meal for two!!
Classy, conveniently located brasserie with well executed dishes and impeccable service. Very generous portions even for the smaller portion.Game bird well cooked but may be too powerful for some. A selection of caviar is served with scrambled eggs made on the table side.
Classic restaurant part of Fortnum and Mason.Went specifically for their "wild" selections. Game Bird did not disappoint, but might be too overpowering for some diners.Dishes were very enjoyable, and portions were very generous. Even the small portions we ordered were quite big. Will want to come back to try their caviar dish where they do table service scrambled eggs.Quite a "posh" experience.
A DESTINATION RESTAURANT IN THE HEART OF ST JAMESS. The exquisite dining room and bar brings back the golden age of glamour and service for a contemporary London. Open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner – as well as a delicious supper menu for the night owls. Serving an innovative combination of familiar favourites and delicious surprises, inspired by the season for a global palate
Saturday morning breakfast, well worth a visit.
This is a very pleasant place for breakfast. At 9am lots of well-dressed clientele but we were welcomed in jeans and sweatshirts. The scrambled eggs on toast looked delicious and the chap at the next table had his with caviar. We opted for the eggs, spinach and tomato with ricotta, which was so good I could eat it all day! It was a lovely treat and I would go back.
Gorgeous place for an early breakfast in central London.Slightly pricey for what it is, Great atmosphere, good selection of dishes for breakfast and coffee!! I suggest it!!!
It was extremely disappointing in comparison to the more than 100 + meals we had there before - in fact 45 Jermyn street was 2nd to Charlies restaurant in Browns Hotel. - we had lunch on the 8th of April, no more familiar faces, the risotto was massively overpriced but in fairness, the portion was so big that it overflowed the brim of the plate. The best smoked salmon in the UK shrunk by a 1/3 - not sure we will go back which is a pity
Delicious breakfast. Well worth the money. We had the duck egg with marmite on crumpets and it was fantastic. The service was great throughout. Very friendly staff. The smoothies were good and the setting was lovely.
The staff got our order completely wrong, served us mediocre food with the wrong cutlery, proceeded to spill it, and then vanished to chitchat amongst themselves. And the flies! If it wasn’t so overpriced it would still get one star. Avoid.
Outstandingly good food and service. A bit of showmanship with the Beef Wellington was amusing. Very expensive but seemed like value for money.
Exceptional spot to meet and dine. Lovely space and excellent food. So many things to recommend. Rarebit , risotto, Knickerbocker glory...all the drinks
Good service and ambiance.I liked the way they presented the avocado and the colour of the egg yolk.Overall the food was ok but unremarkable.
Terrible neglectful service for which they presumptively add 12.5% to the bill. I got assigned to the trainee or something. Great food but unforgettably bad service.
My wifes birthday today, thought I would take her here. A bad choice, waited nearly 10 minutes to order a coffee and eventually had to go to the bar to order. Then the coffee arrives, the waitress did not say a word and did not even bring any sugar, which I had to ask for myself. Extremely poor service. So very disappointed.
Very good initial greeting and quickly shown to a table. Very good order service and was able to vary an item offered for another. Food was lovely (traditional cooked breakfastand beverages were good. Overall service was very good and efficient. Thank you.
An adjunct of Fortnum and Mason offering the same excellence of food and service as the main store. The circular booths make a great setting for a jolly lunch. Welsh Rarebit an interesting starter. My chicken and salad main course was light and tasty.
Restaurant was a quarter full, staff were everywhere, but after 20 minutes of no service we walked out. We were dressed relatively casually (shorts/jeans and shirts), but if this was a factor it would’ve been much kinder to have a dress code and inform us at the door. Huge waste of time.
Sorry, but sub-par dining experience. Our concierge had made reservations specifically with regard to their Beef Wellington. We were greeting by a less than pleasant matred who seated us next to a waiters station and stated " by the way, no Beef Wellington" and walked off. Wait staff was "ok", food was passable (halibut was dry and oversalted, my wifes steak was overcooked and tough). Luckily, it was a beautiful night in London so the walk back to the hotel was the best part of the eve.
We eat here a lot when in London but maybe we have been there too much. The menu is limited and not terribly exciting. Would recommend it as a comfortable place with good food
Busy place for breakfast, mainly business people during the week. The service is efficient, though not perfect. As an example, I asked for some brown toast. The waiter said that the asparagus and boiled eggs were coming with toast. They didn’t. The food was delicious and would be coming back
Service is excellent. The place is as nice as it gets. Service, location, ambiance and decoration are a 5 star. Food is soo bad that I am being generous with two star. They need a complete change of menu and forget medieval England. Stop the spices and curry. A mascarpone is not a vanilla ice cream with some cream and mascarpone ice cream. Unacceptable food. Change chef.
We went for breakfast for our anniversary and it was the best breakfast weve had. We really enjoyed it and the service was perfect. We have eaten at other F&M restaurants and this was the one we most enjoyed. Highlights were the good strong coffee and those Burford eggs are beautiful! We enjoyed the extra treat of some anniversary chocolates gifted to us just from chatting to the staff, it was really thoughtful. We look forward to returning next time were in London.
decent coffee n eggs royale. half portions available as well. good bf venue.
We came here specifically for Beef Wellington. The dish was beautifully presented with the sauce flambéd at the table. The quality of the meat was okay and the pastry was tasty but a bit dry. The sauce was quite nice and so was the potato gratin. I think overall its worth coming once for the dish. The service was very professional but the atmosphere felt a bit touristy, which is unsurprising considering the location. I found 11 pounds for cheapest glass of wine a bit too much for a brasserie. My rating: 3.3
Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here at 45 Jermyn St on Sunday morning!!. The style and ambiance of the restaurant is so beautiful - but on this occasion we decided to dine outside and watch the world go by as London was waking up .. it was all very nice indeed and a lovely easy to start the day.The quality of the food and cocktails was fantastic All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended.
Highly recommended 45 Jermyn St. Service was impeccable and the breakfast menu was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. I can easily say if I was served any of the breakfast options I would be over the moon. I had the avocado with a virgin salsa with a side of two poached eggs, delicious. Husband had the wild mushroom omelette with side of the best black pudding. Will have to return to sample further offering on the menu, a must while in London. Well done to all at 45 Jermyn Street 👏
A great English breakfast. Pretty fancy. Most people dressed very well. Some people working on laptops. Cozy spot in a great location.
Stumbled across this Beautiful Brasserie Restaurant Saturday evening, hit with salivating food smell with my 13yr Daughter. We were greeted with warm friendly reception by the Maître-d & lovely assistant. The décor Je-ne-sais-quoi & Bar, furnishings are sumptuous with a buzzing atmosphere. We ordered Smoked Salmon, Crab then Beef Wellington (Flambé at the tableto finish, Apple Crumble Soufflé. A fabulous menu choice with Beer, house Wine, whisky, Tea & Coffee. Not overly £s for a prime St James restaurant, instead £s as expected. As a Foodie myself I can most certainly and highly recommend this eatery. Enjoy.......
Love this place. Always somewhere I make sure I come when I visit London. Lunch today was delicious. Great service and I highly recommend the Ampersand Cocktail.
A fantastic experience. I booked for my partner’s birthday breakfast and the whole team at 45 Jermyn St made us feel special. The food was excellent and they make a lovely coffee. Highly recommend for a special occasion or if you are looking for something fancier.
Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at 45 Jermyn St on Saturday. The style and ambiance of the restaurant was very nice indeed. The quality of the food and cocktails was lovely. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return. Highly recommended.
Gorgeous place for an early breakfast in central London on a Sunday. Slightly pricey for what it is, but the food is very tasty. Great atmosphere, good selection of dishes for breakfast and teas.
Excellent food, lots of vegetarian food. Excellent cocktails. Good service. Always love a flambé next to the table to add a bit of entertainment. Expensive evening and I felt lacked a little creativity.
Consistently good food and dining experience here. Think this is my third trip so far and it has been excellent eaxh time. A good place to visit with vegetarian friends / family as they always have 4/5 interesting main dishes. If they have the mackerel and caviar tacos go for that option as a starterPortions are a good size, no leaving hungry. They had a very nice reisling wine on the menu (Reid loiserberg).
Ate here last week and loved it so much rebooked immediately. Second visit was almost a disaster as they had nearly run out of caviar, luckily we got the last of it although came with half the quantity of sides as last week (ordered the same amount). Oysters had shell in them. Was much busier on a Sunday than a Saturday. Dishes are delicious though (as they should be for the price!)
Staff and food were absolutely wonderful. The restaurant interiors were also beautiful. We were impressed with the vegan options and I ordered the deviled seitan with crispy seaweed potato and will certainly be back for it.We had a great evening and particularly appreciated the professionalism and welcoming nature of all the staff, and particularly the restaurant manager, Sofiane.
Perfect Beef Wellington with sauce made at table. The beef was juicy and the sauce really balanced the whole dish. Also had crab salad as starter, was fresh and moist.Definitely recommend it.
Loved it! We had the beef Wellington for two, and it was by far the best beef Ive ever had! And I will be dreaming about those potatoes; so cheesey🤤The staff were pleasant and friendly all smiles even with masks on.The atmosphere was excellent! I would definitely recommend this place.
Fantastic breakfast at 45 Jermyn St. Highly recommend the Peach Black Tea.Scrambled eggs with caviar was lovely. Baked beans were creamy and avocado with chili jam was delicious.
45, Jermyn St is the my fav corner restro for a quick drink or a relaxed lunch. We have visited here to celebrate a birthday and have our first dine-in post lockdown. All the safety regulations are properly in place as expected. The staff is warm and welcoming. Full points to the hospitality.Menu is not wide but trust be all the dishes we had were superblyyyyy delicious. I’ve had Gnocchi before multiple times, but this one was so different and yet so delicious. It was the best I’ve had till date.Buck rarebit was also delicious. The cocktail menu is good. All the three cocktails we had were very good.Must try temple of Aeolus.I even liked Dry your cup.Really appreciate the little birthday surprise in the end, made us extremely delighted.Special thanks to Anna for the warm service. The best of Fortnum experience one can have 🙂
The Gallery restaurant in Fortnum & Masons is a sanctuary of calm and quiet away from the hoards of Christmas shoppers looking for those special festive treats. Booking is essential to around up to an hour standing in the long queue on the stairs up to the gallery. Food as always is exceptional and served with Fortnum flair.
We had Sunday breakfast at this restaurant. The food was great. Can’t go wrong with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. It was buttery and creamy. Loved it. I had the fresh beetroot as ginger juice, that was also very lovely. Had a side of the salsa avocado. Coffee was fresh and strong but a little lukewarm which wasn’t great. The customer service was ok, I have seen friendlier staff elsewhere. For Fortnum and Mason standards, I expected more warmth and friendliness. A little overpriced but it’s F&M so we do it for the culture. The interior is absolutely beautiful and colorful, it brings a bright feel to the restaurant. Easy to find and access, 5 minutes walk from Piccadilly Circus station. I will definitely go back.
Used to go here quite a lot when it was the Fountain restaurant at Fortnum and Mason.First visit here and had a delicious brunch with a friend!Nice menu selection, lovely wines and very professional and friendly staff.Highly recommended
Great food and friendly service. Atmosphere of the restaurant is also very warm and welcoming. Their beef Wellington is to die for!
Review in respect of breakfast only :Exceptionally good breakfast spot for an early morning in the area. Good as a couple or friends / clients. Excellent and very friendly service from everyone working there including the recommendation that the scrambled eggs and caviar pair well with their house champagne . . . Even though quite early but worked well for us as a hair of the dog.Formal setting though we were in casual and still felt more than comfortableWill be using on next visit as a client entertainment spot. . Formal and casualExcellent
