This understated hotel offering views of Mount Lycabettus is a 3-minute walk from a metro station, 3 km from the neoclassical National Archaeological Museum and 7 km from the stately Acropolis.Down-to-earth rooms feature free Wi-Fi, TVs and balconies; most offer views of the Acropolis and Mount Lycabettus. Family quarters sleep up to 4 guests, while a suite adds a living room. There's no charge for cribs. Room service is available.Complimentary amenities include parking and breakfast. There's also a relaxed lobby bar.
Definitely NOT a four star hotel. Breakfast is so so bad. Altogether ten dishes served the same daily 365 days in a year. Poor selection! No staff to assist in the buffet area tables cleared of dirty dishes after 20 minutes guests have left and no correct cleaning of surfaces between next sitting, Food is cheap, processed, not nutritious and only fit for consumption by cats and dogs roaming the streets of Athens.Deluxe super room on second floor facing the metro line so be prepared to be disturbed every 6 minutes the frequency of metro trains. The rooms are huge, modern neutral decor. Bathroom very compact but clean and functional. Ample hot water and excellent water pressure. Working mini fridge no mini bar. Air conditioning outstanding and more importantly very quiet. Flat TV very limited choice especially by the lack of quality English speaking channels. Large patio windows with balcony. Sound proofing between rooms poor, WiFi super fast and reliable. Corridors have awful smell of cigarettes!Good location approx 6 mins walk to metro station Kato Patissia with train frequency every 6 minutes. Though neighbourhood may not be the best still safe. Food shop all close by with numerous cafes and restaurants all reasonably priced. An abismal breakfast results in the 2 star rating.Management need to sort out staffing in breakfast area and improve to have 4 star rating when breakfast is zero stars!!
Central Hotel good rail links. Bathroom was bit of a challenge. Tall husband had to stoop in shower. Had free secure parking. Good value.
One of the best 4 star ✨ hotels 🛍️🛏️ in Athens. The personnel there is very polite and respectful. They offer the best services and the hotel rooms are luxurious and equipped with everything that the clients could need. The hotel itself is close to a metro and bus station that links it to Athens International Airport and to the city centre.
I made a reservation for a room with a double bed and received a room with two single beds. I went to the reception to discuss the problem, but the guy there was rude to us and pretended not to hear.In the bathroom there is black mold on the ceiling.
All you could need. Clean sheets every day, clean towels and rooms cleaned very well Al the time.veey helpful staff
A 1970s hotel with dated rooms and services. Popular once with Greeks of the North decenting to Athens for business or pleasure. Lost its attraction and customer base in later years as surrounding urbanization made street parking impossible. It now offers just a handful of parking spots on the sidewalk, in front of it. Bathrooms and internal space and decor are borderline acceptable.
very nice
HelloIt should be a 3 star hotel not 4 star hotel. It does not have a swimming pool, And there is no gam room, no a sauna. In addition, after the renovation need to put modern decorations. And ICE repair.Best RegardsGrecostay Real Estate
The hotel staff and management is really not cooperative .We asked them to show the room before they checked in .they denied.after checkin we didnt like the room.we left the hotel n shifted to another hotel in city center on being promised a refund from reservations department. But they are denying a refund .Its a big loss of money .Im yet asking them for a refund lets see if they r kind enough to understand n process the same..Its a mistake on their part n still are not processing my refund
This hotel deserves much kore than 3.9 stars. At its price point, the rooms are quite solid with comfy beds, an amazing balcony, a kettle and TV. All reception staff are all extremely friendly and the security guard anasthasios went above and beyond. Its location is great with great views over athens and very clowe to supermarkets and a square and metro station. Highly recommend!
An older hotel. All the staff was extremely helpful.
Unfortunately the Hotel is old and also the area is one of the worst in Athens. However the people in the reception are really friendly. The reason why it gets two stars from my end is because the rooms are not cleaned well. The Wi-Fi is poor and slow very bad ping in 2020 till this is not acceptableAnd the breakfast is okay but not tasty.

Disgusting establishment. We walked in the room and walked right back out. Hallway on the floor reeked of cigarette smoke as well did the room on top of the horrible smells of mole and urine. We paid for 2 nights and we’re not given a refund even though we literally went upstairs and came right back down. Was more like some kind of hostile than a hotel. Do not stay there!
as per the reviews mentioned on booking.com the hotel was rated 4 star but the service we got was similar to a 1 star hotel, we had to get the ac remote from the reception.. plus there was no water available for the guests who came late. the room was entirely a 1 star hotel room , no water bottles , no milk cups , no sugar and coffee sachets nothing at all. as this wasn’t expected from xenophon hotel and booking.com . The room service is 0 as compared to a lodge . I would suggest not to book xenophon hotel(Athens)Thank you
Good value, clean, breakfast is ok, internet is not always reliable
To start with the rooms they were very clean, they were cleaned every day and towels were also changed every day. We found the pillows and insulation very poor, no support for your neck and head and you can hear the neighbors through the walls. The breakfast was simple but most things were not fresh. The location of the hotel is close to the metro which has its advantages and disadvantages.Parking was sometimes bit difficult, but you can leave your car with the guard, he will park the car when there is space.
The hotel is 30 minutes far from Athens Airport. Close to Railway station, which has connections to metro. The place is close to the major attractions in Athens. Outside view as shown in cover photo seems bit more. Not that much attractive for daytime. Rooms are neat and clean. You have to climb 15-20 steps to reach reception. No lifts available
I had chosen this hotel because it would have 4 stars. This is definitely not worth it. The rooms are incredibly noisy, the breakfast every morning the same and not good at all. Cold eggs, watery coffee, dirty old bread, no fruit. Reception is unfriendly and asks 4€ for a simple cup of coffee in the evening. The worst part is that I had to give my car keys to the reception.I will not come here again....
Good location (5min to the metro station). Very good food and friendly staff. Nice, spacious rooms with balconies, but not the nicest view outside.Very, very clean.
The young receptionist should keep its political mind for himself instead of blaming about other countries leaders!!!UNPROFESSIONALRooms are not the same as shown in the pictures. The furnitures and technical equipments in the rooms are older for more than 35-40 years.
Rooms:They are really good and clean the air conditioner is fantastic the bed was really comfortable bathroom is a bit small but it does the job !Breakfast:Everyday there is the same breakfast nothing really new, it’s a bit dry nothing too special there is some juices and coffee it does the job for the price you are paying thoStaff & Performance:The check in is always at 14:00 and the checkout is at 12:00 they give you a key to a room so you can put your luggage in till your check in time the staff was helpful but not really nice they do their job but with anger, a smile would be nice to seePrice:Really affordable and you get more than you are paying for I didn’t expect that much to be honest but everything was goodArea/ the place of the hotel:There is a small grocery shops next to the hotel as well as parking spaces in front of hotel there is a metro green line station around 300 Meters away from the hotel by Walking Called (Kato Patissia)
Very nice hotel. Location is ok.
Noisy from metro. Starts at 4:30. Receptionist... Variable. Lots of stairs to reception. Room was smoky. Corridor loud, I thought I heard someone knocking at door but it was elsewhere
Small room; we could hardly walk around the bed. Air climate within the room very poor, with a remaining smell due to bad air filter condition. We both woke up with a raspy voice both mornings, which healed both days few hours after leaving the room... (This review is about a 4th floor double room.)
Worst breakfasts Ive ever ate. Room was very small and bathroom height was 180 cm. Smell of mold in the bathroom and room, last refurbishment probably in the end of 90s.
Clean but a little old fashioned. Breakfast only the appropriate. VFM hotel. Great place near subway and public busses. Many places around for food and drink. You can reach the center of Athens in 15 minutes with 1,20€ ticket price. Perfect solution for Erasmus+ mobilities if the achool is near.
Very nice room. The staff though is quite unable to handle some services of the hotel. There are 180 rooms and 25 parking spots. Paid for a four-bed room and got a two-bed one without getting a lower price. And that is not even the worst part. Rude and aggressive, not very good service.
The cheapiest rooms are clean but very oldfashioned (very old bath and all bathroom design, room has plastic flowers and etc). Beds are so uncomfortable. Also the train goes all time and stops late, starts early. So its really noisy. Breakfest are good but not much too choose, every day the same and no vegetables. Stuff was friendly. Location area not the best but easy to reach city centre.
Nice hotel. Good value for money. Neat and spacious rooms and good breakfast.
Friendly stuffs but the breakfast every day are the same menus. This Hotel is 3* not 4*. Area sorrounding is look like slum area.
The hotel room on the second floor looked nice because they are renovated, the breakfast was good. We had a good time there.
Good hotel.Location is very convenient, between two train stations and 20 minutes from the city centre. Close by major Aharnon Avenue and exits to national highways.Priced accordingly with a variety of services inside or close by.Would recommend for somebody visiting or a short stay in Athens.cheers.
Weve stayed only one night between sailing week and flying back home. A great deal at this price range (weve paid about 56eur), so I highly recommend the place! The main reason weve chosen this hotel is because it has free parking and breakfast is included. The check-in was very speedy, the staff very nice and helpful. We had a corner room - it was very spacious and full of light. The room and bathroom looked totally new.Its not centrally located, so walking to attractions is not an option, but we knew that while booking. The only let down was the breakfast - the choice is quite poor. But for one night is totally ok.
Good enough for the price. Close to the metro station. Kinda dodgy neighbor on night time. The room is alright and the breakfast not to much variety. The staff very friendly and it has security at the entrance.
Basic hotel but cheap one, clean rooms, nice staff, there is long stairs at the enterance that makes it hard for older people and who with heavy luggage to check in ..
Rooms are good, after renovation, but wasnt towels and on the bed was old linens. Breakfast fine.
We stayed one night, but hotel rooms are renovated and very nice - highly recommend. For offered price is this hotel great choice. Staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was average, but OK for one night. We even have seen Akropolis from our balcony 😄
Great hotel, clean and new room-bathroom, comfortable bed, air conditioning a lot of space in wardrobes. Own parking place which was managed by the staff. Breakfast included. Close to bus stop, 5min walk from nearest metro station.
Nice and comfortable hotel, good breakfast, nice mattress... a little too noisy if you get a room on the main road
Overall all was fine. But unfortunately, our room was really dirty, looked like cleaning service missed to clean floor and toilet in the room.
Enjoyed our stay. The air conditioning was great. Had continental breakfast in the morning. No issues.
Pretty decent for a low budget or for a nights stay. Mattress was comfortable and I found the insulation proper, although visited when hotel wasnt busy. Bathroom needs some tlc,but overall clean. Staff at the reception were friendly and willing to assist with luggage.
This is not 4 stars, maybe 2.There are no power sockets near bed. Pillows were not fresh. Internet is bad with many disconnections and low speed. Room door locker is very weak and without locker. Elevator is slowly. Breakfast was bad and without tomatoes or cucumber or fresh vegetables and no fruits. In bathroom when took shower it came a bad cigarette smoke through the plastic window that is not closing properly. Parking is limited but guarded in front of hotel. Personal from reception was kindly. Down in the room there are cold floor tiles and you can not walk barefoot. In the room there are no glasses.
Although the hotel rates itself as four stars, I would think twice about staying here next time. The staff were not very friendly and basically they did not tend to your request patiently. Worst of all, the wireless internet did not work in my room and when I reported it to the front desk, they did not care to solve it...
It is a kind of old hotel. We states at the 5th floor. Rooms are old, Ac was old (analog actually), shower was 50x50cm and not thay clean but room was cleaned every day. There are no "do not disturb" or "clean my room" signs.Breakfast was normal for this kind of hotel.Location is a bit far away from seaside.I forgot to take photos of room inferior, but i have the view and corridor photos.
Last minute one night booking. Clean room, comfortable bed, great breakfast. The decor is a bit outdated but if youre not fussy this is a comfortable stay.
In a 4* hotel the only thay you can expect is that they will assist you some how!1. I told to the receptionist to inform the H/K that i didnt want them to insert the room and of course she didnt delivered the message. She told me that they will do it either way. What?2. I asked them at least 5 times if they had a suitcase scale and i had 5 different answers. Come on guys! At least tell me that you dont have one in order to buy one for myself..Breakfast was fine, the room was clean enough the only that it was disappointing for a 4* property it was the staff at the front office!
Calling this place a 4 Star hotel is an insult to most 2 Star hotels. The bed is awful. The breakfast is terrible. The walls are very thin. The rooms are boring. The WiFi is a joke, etc etc etc I would, in short, tell everyone tot stay away from this dump.
40 euro for a single person for a night. Trying to backpack, but this location is close to the KTEL which is the major bus system. Nice size room with a balcony, wifi, and a good sized bathroom. It is a good hotel for the price.
