26 Sushi&Co. in Montevideo

I visited 26 Sushi & Tapas for their Happy Hour and couldnt be more impressed. The restaurant is decorated elegantly and the bar area was very modern and tasteful. The bartender and mixologist had friendly conversation and mixed delicious drinks with flair. The small plates were also delicious and I highly recommend the salmon dumpling. Next time Im in Surfside I will definitely return.

We flew into town for my friends wedding. The night before (Saturday nighthis wedding we wanted to take him out so we came here as we heard this place has the best sushi... Our group we seated and they ordered. 45 min later the drinks have not come yet and we were told that they ran out of rice so the sushi was not going to arrive. The place looked nice and the people around us looked happy, but we had to leave as we did not receive our food. If we lived in town we would probably give it another chance, but we dont.

Turns out "tapas" basically means tiny bites. Wish I stuck with the sushi. Left hungry after spending about $200 on different dishes and then had to leave and fill up on pizza - (actual pizza; sushi pizza was about 2" by 2").Friendly service, nice ambiance and food was fresh.

The food is PHENOMENAL. The portions are TINY. You will leave delighted and hungry and poorer and still a bit happy, dreaming of tiny plates that you wish had just a couple more bites. Those salmon truffle dumplings? Oh Lord. They are heaven. And you will pay $20 for three tiny dumplings. My husband and I had exactly 15 bites of food each and were amazed by each bite and paid $100.

Biggest disappointment of my life. I have been going here for years and only slowed down during Covid. Finally tried to go back only to be shocked. Not only did the prices increase but the serving size decreased! Many of the popular dishes have been taken off and replaced by sub par items. The tacos were the size of my palm and almost $20.Absolutely ridiculous. Even the drinks were disappointing. I’m sad to see a favorite restaurant of mine turn in to another trap for tourists.2 stars for the decor and semi-friendly staff.

As a local, i enjoy revisiting beach town favorites and popped in during their happy hour to see if maybe i could get my favorite helping of the fish tacos. Right off the bat Im handed a happy hour menu that has some stipulations like an automatic 18% which is.... Okay, as a local, i get it. Times are tough, whatever, but as the server came up to me he tells me in order to get anything off the menu, I have to get a drink. Not just a soda, but a drink of their tailored menu with everything being $10 and up. Well okay, that defeats the purpose of this menu but alright, i end up getting this tiny drink and i tried out the ceviche (which was goodand salmon truffle dumplings (which was great!and off the regular menu the fish tacos. I gotta say, Im very disappointed in the tacos. The whole reason I came here and it was mostly tasteless slaw and not enough of the flavours i used to love. All in all, Im glad I tried the truffle dumplings but as everything in Miami, my meal just wasnt worth the price. :( Life moves on and Ill look for fish tacos elsewhere.

Horrible, the food was awful, I ordered the tacos order and they where ice cold, so we asked them to re heat them and and when they brought them back they where burnt but somehow ice cold, after that we ordered the churros and they where raw inside, but the cherry on top was that there was a huge cockroach in the wall, it was like 4 inches!

Absolutely amazing , a lot of things on the menu were very different from what me and my wife normally would eat but we took a chance and tried it out. The salmon noodles was a masterpiece the way they cooked the salmon was extremely unique but extremely delicious 🤤 the Branzino fish was full of flavor and the right amount of crisp the sauce with the potatoes was perfect. If your in the mood for sushi definitely don’t miss the miso salmon sushi the sear on the salmon was something out of a magazine . 🔥🔥🔥

Went to dinner with the family. This place had a nice ambiance but the food was average even if the description were intriguing. Service was friendly, timely, and personable...thanks Amir!Prices were ridiculous for the quality.

I ordered a Sushi platter for an event at 7:00 and it was not ready until 8:15. They only started making it at 7:15.Management was not cooperating.

Food was incredible, the variety of flavors was amazing, was also very fresh, came to the table in a timely manner and waiters were friendly and knowledgeable

Always a solid choice of light dinner if you don’t take deserts which are amazing.We tried the new dish hamachi gyoza and loved it.So far the new chef keeps impressing

One star for the lady at the front desk. After she walk me to the table outside, I asked her about draft beer , she didn’t know if they have it, which is ok , maybe it’s her first day working there , she said she will check … and disappeared. After 15 min sitting outside in 100 degrees, nobody offered me a water and the waitress came and apologized that nobody told him about Me ! Great work for 18% included tips!👎🏼 Food is overpriced.

Excellent experience, the food was outstanding and the only thing better was the service. Alberto runs the place beautifully and was incredibly attentive even during the busiest of times. Highly recommend to all!

What a fantastic experience! We sat by the bar (way better than at a tableand were served by Adrian. He was amazing - literally the best bartender/server I’ve ever had! Food and drink was incredible as well ! Will definitely be back!

Nice sushi / fusion tapas place. Everything I had was pretty good, although nothing blew me away. Highlight was the pizza sushi which was very unique and tasted delicious.

Excellent. If you like fish this is very good. Excellent deep fried red snapper, miso bass and branzino. The halibut is excellent tasting but the portion size small.

The place is great according to other people who been there before. We had horrible experience with the server. His name Emanuel. Very laid-back, unprofessional, extermly disrespectful. After spending $300 we didnt enjoy the experience. Advise to owners: Get this guy out of there asap! Sorry.

What can I say other than superb? Charna carried herself with the utmost professionalism but at the same time making us feel very welcome. Food was good but we are going back because of the amazing customer service and attention to detail. THANK YOU CHARNA!!!

Great food and atmosphere. The outdoor seating was great for Covid. We took our non-kosher-keeping foodie friend there and she loved the food - the highest praise for kosher food! The service was surprisingly good too.

Went for happy hour. Served at the bar by Adrien who was fantastic. The drinks were amazing and the food was delicious! Wish I could give 6 stars.

A++ service, you will not be ignored or forgotten about here!.. Literally 1 staff member per table it seemed like, + 3 of there most popular rolls are on-point, and while the entrees are creative and excellent, and Big surprise of dinner was their fish tacos...I know sounds a little over top, but these were probably best Ive ever had, including all the restaurants in So.Cal, so this was no easy feat to pull off! Just outstanding in every category, keep up great work 26, be back soon! 👍

I took my husband and business partners from CA for a special dinner. Our dining experience was superb. Food and service was amazing! I have known chef Gian for so many years and know his quality works. We had so many dishes. Many were special menus created and suggested by chef Gian. Thank you for your great hospitality. My partners had a great time.

The food was excellent! so was the service.

Had Miami Spice lunch. Overall mediocre to good cooking. Feta cheese salad had weight too much oil and too much feta so also a bit too salty. Main was Salmon with stir fry veggies - stir fry was too oily and salmon slightly overcooked. Desert - white chocolate mousse was very fatty and too sweet. The whole lunch was so filling/heavy that I took a 3 hours nap after. The good thing I didn’t have to eat for another day. Interior/tables/chairs are very basic and asking for remodeling by someone with a bit more taste, so it didn’t feel super nice to be in the place. Service was excellent.

Firstly , the service in this place was horrible. We had to have 3 waiters take our order before they got it down pat. Secondly , the dishes and cutlery were not washed adequately- there was residue of fish and Mayo all over . Thirdly , it took way to long . It was not efficient and fast at all. We had to wait over an hour to receive our food. I will not be dining here in the future.

We ate here twice this week (we so enjoyed the first time we had to go back). Delicious and atypical food with eclectic and varied flavors (try the sea bass dumplings in ponzu, picture attached!), exquisite presentation, efficient and friendly service. A little pricey, but well worth it. Highly recommend!

I like the food in there, but when I ordered pick up, I got very poor portion of the food that I am sure they wont serve it like that in the restaurant. I ordered 3 kinds of sashimi, which 2 pieces cost $6, so total $18 but as you can see at the pic I can not believe that I paid $18 for this. Also the Nitro Scallops are very small amount and look very cheap for $15!!

I rarely go out to a restaurant and get full and Im unable to finish my plate. From the moment you walk in, you feel very welcomed by the staff. Every dish we ordered was flavorful with nice portions. Anything we ask for the immediately delivered. The staff guessed that it was my daughters birthday and brought her out a beautiful dessert with a candle.It was a great experience and I would suggest this place to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, delicious, and reasonably priced food experience.

This place needs to be featured! By far the best restaurant experience I have ever had. To start off, out waiter was extremely accommodating, enjoyable, and professional. Every dish was on point and "hit the spot". They came out in a timely manner and in order.(rare to see in the kosher world). I highly recommend the churros for dessert even if its to go, they are amazing. Thank you TAPAS for such a nice evening and keep doing what your doing!!

Great food, amazing service. Ordered 4different seafood dishes and each one had a unique taste. Their molten chocolate cake took 30mins but was as good as any weve ever had.. Highly recommended for sushi lovers!

The place was very nice, right from the door we were greated and seated. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu. And the food tasted very delicious. Will defiantly visit again next time Im in Miami.
