Eco-conscious 100% vegan restaurant with a virtuous lunchtime buffet and candle-lit evening meals.
I really enjoyed my first experience in a vegan restaurant. The taste was pretty awesome despite its just vegetables. Everything was well cooked and presented with exquisite taste. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. The dishes were promptly brought to the table and the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet expect because of a group of very noisy young women unfortunately seated close to my table. But the rest of the costumers were very respectful with the rest inside the restaurant. The vegan burger was absolutely amazing as well the Apple crumble. The chocolate gateau needs to be improved by making it sweeter. The presentation was spectacular. The chef is a true food artist. Congrats!I will come back definitely and try another dishes.
Apparently healthy, but ultimately unhygienic, not very clean, a supermarket of germs. There was only one person who served at the tables (takes menus that all the people touched with their handsand who is at the cashier (handles money and cards with her handsand who prepares drinks (handles vegetables with her hands when you take a smoothie and she centrifuges it), and does all this without using gloves and never washing her hands. You do the math. There was no waitress and the woman at the counter who prepares the smoothies and serves the tables does it all. At least when we were there.Ive never seen her wash her hands or use gloves. The wait at the tables is very long (we entered at 7.45pm and left at 9.30pm, because she does everything, the lady who I think is the owner. There is only one other person in the kitchen so there were two of them, in a place where I counted 30 people and the tables were all full. Rightly, the wait is very long.As always the tactic is to bring you a drink and then if you are lucky after 45 minutes it brings you food, so in the meantime you have to order other things to drink. In the end even though the plates are nice to look at, we having taken four plates, and having spent 66, 50 pounds, on the plates you can count 10 pounds of vegetables for all 4 plates, not each. Plus £2.50 organic tofu (for allyou get at tesco Obviously, the price includes the drinks. 3 smoothie prepared by the lady, again touching the vegetables when previously she handed menus and cash with her hands and never cleaned. All four dishes were spicy and too salty in fact the two children left almost half of the food, complaining that they were too salty. If I have to come to places like this my favorite place remains the Thai buffet in Shepherd Bush (which one might call cheap and nasty, at least they cook the food in front of you and in the break time the staff eat the same things the customers eat, therefore inspire me with confidence). Then in the end she brought us a bill for £ 60 and after 2 minutes when she came back with the payment machine she brought another receipt for £ 66.50, saying she was wrong. My daughter insisted that the bill was overcharged but I didnt care, I paid and left.I want to say that I searched this place on the internet because we try to change one place a week to try new things, but obviously like all businesses when they promote their store, the photos are beautiful and they tell you well about the placeThere is also written on the internet that they do all you can eat, but it is not true, perhaps they say it to attract people / customers.
Really good food but bad welcoming, we wait mor 1h20 to being served, its to much !
I have been many times and many years, the food is just delicious , im pescaterian myself and i love cheese, but here i dont miss it ..full of flavours and taste !!!
Amazing dinner! Best place for vegan food! Food is tasty and staff is really kind! Thanks!
Delicious food, friendly and professional service, quiet yet comfortable atmosphere. Lovely time overall. Will definitely come back
Love this soya-free burger 😍
I’ve been going here for nearly 20 years. Amazing, delicious, fresh vegan food made from scratch, Ben the owner really takes pride in what he does there. Thanks guys
Wonderful and professional customer service, very relaxed atmosphere, felt at ease with the warm welcome. Had the Bens Special, my friend had the Seitan Stroganoff. We both enjoyed our choice of meal; very tasty and balanced flavours. The apple pie was delicious, one of the best we have tasted. My friend mentioned it was my birthday and the Chef as you can see, added a special touch by piping happy birthday on the plate!! A very kind and thoughtful gesture.it really made it special. Definitely will come again and recommend to all my vegan friends. Thank you to all. 👍🏾👏🏽
We had Bens special with seitan & tofu.. It was absolutely delicious and we would go back just for this. Lost a star as we waited 45 minutes for it, even though it wasnt busy. Would recommend and come back, just maybe with a bit more time.
Absolutely brilliant! Gorgeous food and lovely service. Made a really lovely special birthday, couldn’t fault anything - would really recommend!!
Small cozy place, good food and service
Im not Vegan but all my favorites were on the plate.Staff and chefs made it a lovely experience. Friendly, helpful and the food was amazing!Thank you for a great experience
Delicious, a boutique little restaurant, really tasty, great service and you can see the chef making the food.We ordered the Bens Vegetable Stir fry and the potato & spinach raclette. Really goodHighly recommend
This is a lovely little restaurant with friendly service and a complete menu of vegan items - starters, mains and desserts, all delicious. I have been here three or four times now and will undoubtedly return.
Cracking little restaurant with an interesting menu (all veganand fab welcoming atmosphere.Good value for money too.
Had a lovely experience. The food was amazing, would definitely recommend and come back again!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Perfect if you want a healthy meal and you don’t want to cook at home. Tastier than I expected and they have the best version of a healthy apple crumble I have ever had
The food here really made me want to re-evaluate all my other reviews as it was just that good! Fresh produce and great combinations led to flavours pouring out from each dish and, as a vegan, I would happily recommend 222 to anyone.Service was also good with friendly staff and there was a variety of options on the menu.
Highly recommended!!!Best vegan food in London we have ever had. Delicious, healthy, innovative menu. What awesome desserts. They happily help with all special dietary requests. The food is very fresh and brilliant. Service is excellent.
Amazing vegan place, staff are polite and atmosphere is relaxed. Had the Seitan Stroganoff, which was delicious; whilst my boyfriend enjoyed their special Stir Fry..The starters are tasty too and the juices/smoothies are a treat! The allergens are clearly indicated on the menu. Highly recommend.
Last visited this place over 10 years ago and glad to see it is still packed and full of delicious meals. Everything is vegan here and very generously priced. I highly recommend the Stroganoff which was delicious.
I love this place, Ive been going there for years, gorgeous Vegan/Vegetarian food and lovely staff, if you are Vegan/Vegetarian or just like Vegan/Vegetarian food you should try it out, is not far from West Kensington Station or West Brompton Station.
Very unique, delicious food, in a very nice and easy-going environment. Every dish haas something unique to offer!
I dont even know where to start from. Everything I experienced in this place has left me speechless. This is by far the best food I have ever eaten out from a hospitality establishment.I had the Oyster Mushroom Raclette and my husband had the 222 Fresh Burger. We also had the baked plantain which was gorgeous. It was not oily at all as I have experienced before in different places. The Oyster Mushroom Raclette was very flavoursome and the textures were perfect. I also tried my husbands GF burger which was so delicious! At the end we had a lovely coffee and some desserts. I had the Chocolate Gateau and my husband had the Apple Crumble. It was not heavy at all, they were both very delicious and I would have it all again.I have to say that this was an amazing place for my husband since most dishes are GF, as he suffers from gluten intolerance.Very excited to visit again!
Decided to to try Vegan food, we went on a day that was doing the Eat Out scheme. So all tables were full with only one server. Service was slow, all had our mains except one of us at the table we had almost finished and still no sign of the other main. Told the waitress who didnt even apologise for the wait. Which was bad on their side.Food is okay, we had the bean and tofu pancake. Tasty.Artichoke slightly salty,Oyster mushroom raclette was tasty, but was quite a large portion and ended up tasting boring after a few bites.Chocolate gateau tastyCrumble not so goodPlating could be better instead of just throwing herbs all around the bowl.Overall okay meal, will not come back though.
222 is honestly a great place for vegan and vegetarian food. I went there last night and the place was insanely busy with people queuing out the door. I would definitely recommend booking in advance before you go to ensure a table. From what I could tell they were short on staff on a very busy night so service was slow but could have been a lot worse and the staff did amazingly well considering. The food was really good and I would highly recommend it to any vegan or vegetarian person looking for a good place to eat!
Super delicious vegan food, lovely staff and ambience. I had gluten free spaghetti with quinoa and spinach “meatballs”, garlic bread and a maca/ cacao mylkshake to take away. All super tasty and very very filling! Highly recommended.
What a wonderful vegan place! Although it has its faults, I really do appreciate their commitment to providing unique and delicious vegan food and some of the dishes are breathtakingly good.However- not all. For the starter I ordered the mezze - for £6.50 I got one small piece of bread with three small pots of sauce. It was very tasty but 100% not worth the price, and couldnt really be called a mezze. The main was Bens special. This. Was. AMAZING. Probably the best vegan food Ive ever had - and one of the best meals too.And for dessert - the cheesecake. This was the biggest disappointment- the odd textured dry slab I was served couldnt really be called a cheesecake at all, so a low note to end the meal on.On the whole - a really good place and I would like to believe I just made some poor menu choices. Its very likely I will return to try something else and I would recommend
Deeply bowing to the chef for the cold and raw avocado soup. It had been the best raw soup in London outside my personal cooking space and to summarise it in two words: utterly sublime. What a very impressive menu and as I was told by the friends they also run happy hours, certainly now in anticipation to visit this restaurant in Fulham again. The other dishes were greatly tailored to vegans; can tip to cut on the salt though and compensate with spicy rainbows. The personnel was very accommodating and friendly.
Excellent food. Second time coming here and just as impressed as the first visit. Some of the best vegan food Ive had in a long time. Lovely atmosphere, make sure to book ahead during busy hours so you arent waiting about for a table.
Loved everything about this restaurant!! The buffet was clean and organized and the food was delicious!Everything we had was not only vegan but also gluten free! I cant wait to come back.
My first time in vegan restaurant and love it!!! Never thought vegan food can be so delicious!! Cosy restaurant and friendly staff. Will defo be back xxx
Very intimate place. Definitely have to reserve a table before hand as it gets quite busy in there. It was my first vegan experience and I liked it. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly & helpful. The only drawback was the time it took to serve up the food (over an hour). If that can be improved then I would give 5 stars.
Fresh and clean food, good service, only raw and baked food , no deep fried. Price is mid range. Not far from Charing Cross hospital. Big portion but not guilty because all are healthy food.
Went there with my vegan friend (Im not vegan myselfand the food was amazing and affordable! A lot of good dessert options are also available. I would recommend it to everyone with specific dietary requirements or someone who just wants to have something healthy and yet tasty from time to time.
So delicious!!! We enjoyed the mezze appetizer with GF bread, African egusi with baked yams, the spinach tart (special of the day), apple crumble and chocolate ganache. Wow, cant wait to try the whole menu!
Delicious food! Lots of options to choose from and all are neatly labeled for allergens! Oh, did I mention its an all you can eat, help yourself buffet! Meat eaters should not pass it by just because its vegan.PS: The matcha with almond milk is a treat!
I went here with friends and we had a lovely time . It is a great feeling to be able to oder absolutely anything on the menu ! There are so many options for vegans and the food is very tasty so meat eaters will also not de disappointed.I had the stroganoff and the chocolate shake. The shake was so good , I should have gotten it as a dessert !The place is small and cosy so you might need to make a reservation if you come with a larger group .
I went there Saturday evening with my fiancee. The restaurant was very busy, the waitress welcomed us nicely. She explained that we have to wait, so we did. It took around 10mins. We just wanted to try some of the puddings and it was 100% worthy to wait for available table. They were delicious. 222 Pamcake was great, very delicate, with ice cream in side and cream on top. Banana cake with ice cream is going well together. Blueberry & Vanilla cheesecake was the best cheesecake Ive ever had. Chocolate Gateau with coconut ice cream was yummy. If you like very, very sweet cakes then this is something for you. I definitely recommend this place and I will back there.
Lovely place with very friendly staff and delicious food! Located in a small but cute building with great food for great prices. I would recommend this place to all Vegans and food lovers!
Lovely vegan restaurant hidden from the hustle and bustle of the city. I went there with my wife for afternoon lunch on bank holiday Monday. The food was very tasty and there were plenty of options for salads and hot food. The choice is not extensive but more than sufficient for a meal. At lunchtime they run a buffet service and I think the evening is a la carte. They make fresh juices and smoothies as well which costs extra. The restaurant is clean and you can see the kitchen area which is also kept tidy. The staff are friendly and they put allergy advice on the food labels as well.
Lovely food ... good service for a Buffett style lunch but the ambience and decor for the price might be stretching it a bit far ! Overall not a place for fine dining or a flashy date night but it your after the food then it’s a yes from me !
The left is what I’d got 2 years ago and the right is what I got this time. Still very yummy(especially the spinach soup and the risotto were amazingbut the salad was very different with what I remembered and very slow. And one of the staff was quite rude. She made us change the table without saying ‘sorry’ or using any polite language and when we were waiting for a dessert she told us to hurry to finish our tea! And again, didn’t apologize when we said we’re waiting for our dessert. Or she’s just a racist being rude to asian. Because she was smiling and being nice to other people.
The food is 5🌟 Theyve clearly tried to make the best of a small venue. Cant wait to go back. Puddings/desserts are sublime - yum.
Amazing place!I highly recommend this restaurant even if youre not vegan! I, myself, am and as any vegan will tell you we eat a lot at meal times....I mean, plates stacked high with veggies! One of the great things about this restaurant is that they understand this and you will never be disappointed by the portion sizes.Other really good points are that they have options on the menu for raw vegans and will also make any meal gluten free! Its nice to look through a menu, knowing that you can eat everything on it and not pay a small fortune for it, unlike mainstream restaurants who seem to charge extra for specialist meals.
More than amazing! I went for dinner but I wish I could go try the lunch buffet because having a full plate of this food must be mind blowing!
We really enjoyed a three course meal here of pumpkin soup, mixed bean curry, apple crumble and custard. Staff friendly and kind. Flavours were just delicious for this healthy vegan home style dishes. Highly recommended!
Fantastic vegan buffet. Dont be put off by the school canteen vibe as we almost were - the food is excellent and great value for money. Staff were really friendly and they also have a really good range of vegan desserts. Possibly the best vegan crumble and ice cream youll have in London. Highly recommend!
This place has my favourite dessert in London - the apple crumble. I order it with bot the vanilla ice cream and the vanilla sauce. Service can sometimes be slow because it gets busy and there is a small kitchen, but the food is always fabulous! You leave feeling full, fresh, clean and healthy!!!
