12 Harland Place in Middlesbrough

We had a gift voucher from Harland place and were told in writing it would be honoured. Despite the terrible food reviews, we were happy to use the small voucher and pay the rest to give it a try, to be told on booking, that they are no longer honouring vouchers. Very disappointing

Had the most lovely evening here with my family last Saturday and the food was absolutely outstanding! Thank you Kelly and the waitresses kind regards Matthew.

Waiting time is mental, keep changing menu to brunch on weekend without letting you know until you are seatedWont be going back

Absolutely terrible. Service and food was awful! No respect for customers. Would not visit or recommend to anyone

Shocking. One star is flattering to the entire team. The only positive is that the place looks lovely, really well decorated and outside terrace area is great. But the service and quality of the food was a complete and utter disgrace. The food all came out at random times, sometimes not at all, main courses with no sides for 45 minutes, bottles of wine ordered 4 times that never actually came, the bread and ‘whipped butter of the week’ was two slices of stale bread with a tiny portion of tasteless butter (might have been margarine tbh). As the atmosphere in the group deteriorated into a sense of complete bewilderment; the staff then started to roundly ignore the table, knowing they had well and truly lost any chance of redemption. Then one delightful member of staff decided to loudly ‘shush’ one of our party so that we didn’t upset the few remaining people left in the restaurant (also empty on a Saturday night is pretty indicative of how poorly this new restaurant is being received). Safe to say the bill was nowhere near settled and they were lucky to get any money out of our group whatsoever. Honestly the worst dining experience of any of our lives, just really disappointing from a meal and a venue we were looking forward to for quite a while. The best bit about the whole experience has been telling other people about the shambolic hilarity of the evening. Anyone booked in: seriously consider cafe Lilly instead, or even better, the peppermill bistro in billingham!

Not had food yet just drinks upstairs.We had the best night in a long time.The staff are super cool and friendly and Appo set the sence with his unreal dj set, Loads of classic disco and house.People dancing, smiling and talking to strangers. We tried different cocktails while relaxing on a comfy sofa saying how much we love this place. You get a warm feeling inside and it feels like your abroad when the bi folds are open looking out onto a beautiful terrace with olive and palm trees. Theres plenty of seating around and the decor just brings it all together. Cant wait to go back.My new local ✌️😎😁💃🕺🎶🙏

Tastefully refurbed, lovely staff, amazing menu but the food I ordered so so below average 🤦‍♀️ £42 for a steak which was so disappointing…rare when it should’ve been well done …house salad which was a handful of green leaves 🍃 wedges which were undercooked what a let down ☹️ btw I never do a review but given the prices of this place I felt I owed a honest opinion…my advice to the establishment is maybe you should consider putting the chef out of the scruffy duck into this restaurant to train the chefs on how to cook a steak just a suggestion
