삼익장여관 in Taegu

The place was dirty. Its icy cold in the room. The bathroom door didnt close properly. But the worst was the mosquito problem. One of the TV cables coming into the room through the window. So the window didnt close completely and it was like a party house for mosquitos.Sadly I have nothing good to say about the place except for the cheaper price but it doesnt worth it. The host lady was rude and I couldnt wait to get out of that place :(

Cheapest private room available in the city at the time. Central location and lovely staff (very patient despite us speaking no Korean). Rooms carry essential items: Comfy beds and pillow, fridge, TV, hair dryer, aircon, own bathroom, gender specific saunas and free WiFi. Room was not clean however with hair and stains from previous occupanta. Plumbing was disconnected in the shower causing flooding into the bathroom which appears to be causing the floor to collapse.

We had a great time staying at this cheap hotel. Its definitely seen better days, its old and the wallpaper is peeling, but for about $25 per night, its perfect for budget travellers. The hotel is on the third floor above two sauna floors. When we arrived to check in there was nobody in the hotel office but we asked the sauna attendant to give them a call and we were sorted out in no time. Nobody speaks even a word of English here so you will need Google translate on your phone to help communicate if you dont speak Korean. Price at time of reviewing was 25000 won, cash. Hotel guests get free coffee and bottled water. Rooms have private bathroom, a big TV and mini fridge. Everything was clean enough, but like I said, very dated. Never saw any bugs or pests so no need for worry there. Great view of Daegu from the roof. Very close (2 mins walkingto sky train stop and walking distance to tons of shopping and restaurants. We dined twice at a little restaurant on the corner of the busy intersection under the train that had amazing seafood pancakes and fried fish, definitely check that out. Overall if your expectations arent too high youll have a great stay here!
