天藝商旅 in Kao-hsiung

I was staying at this hotel months ago. I booked them through Agoda and got a great offer. They charged me 1000NTD for two nights and give me around cashback 50NTD cashback which I’d recieved two months after my stay there. Another great thing is you can do the payment at the hotel when you arrived and they didn’t ask for deposit during my stay!The location was great closely strategic to two Kaoshing MRT Station, Formosa Boulevard and City Council (the later is the closest one only around 500 meters away from the hotel). Staff also was great and very helpful.The only downside was I can smell the cigaratte residue along the hallway and even when I went inside to the room for the first time. However, all in all it was such a great experience to stay in this hotel. Hope someday I can visit Kaoshiung again and still get the best price from them.*Ps: You can search their English name “Skyone Hotel Kaoshing” - as listed in online booking service - if you don’t know their name in Mandarin.

Amazing location ! It’s close by u have lots of food and drink shops available even by walking and biking. I stayed a week and it was the cheapest hotel I stayed in Taiwan. The reception staff is very friendly and professional. But the cleaning services wasn’t that great. Since I stayed a week I only asked them to clean my room 3 times and only one time was properly cleaned the other 2 times they didn’t make the bed or change the sheets. Wasn’t happy with that.During my time there everyday there was smoke smell especially at the corridors. The bedroom was tiny but they had a king size bed so I didn’t mind, it was huge. The toilet had a great shower pressure that was one of the best factors. The tv volume level was so low I couldn’t hear anything. Plus the digital tv apparatus was behind the tv and it was so hard to change channels with the remote.PS: don’t bother with the breakfast it’s not worth. Local Taiwanese breakfast shops around within 5 min walk are 10x better and cheaper. Also bare in mind that my stay was during Covid level 2 but their common area, dining area and leisure area were closed which sucked because obviously bars and restaurants already didn’t even need partitions. Also KTV is open but their common areas were closed. Bummer !

Beds were rearranged and far from the switches, air conditioning was constantly blowing in your face the whole time and parking was not available like mentioned on the website. Only the bathroom was nice, might as well sleep inside instead

Breakfast buffet for 130 TWD, from 7am to 10am. Value choices and full of veges, including egg scramble, rice, congee, breads, salads, spaghetti, soup, juices, coffee, fruit and steam breads.

It was a nice place to stay, in the heart of the city with affordable price. I stay in the cheapest room that they have and it’s still comfortable. If your room do not have breakfast, You just need add more 79NT to get buffet breakfast. Nice catch...

11 floor men showers smell terrible, strong hot old pee - the rest is okay, nice staff, good pricing... But dang the toilet..

We stayed there in October. The room was great, loved it. The couch was a welcome furniture. The staff is wonderful, very helpful, professional. You cant beat the location, its a short walk or scooter ride to the Liuhe Night Market. I think the location is perfect, its in the heart of the city and for us was only a short ride to wherever we wanted to explore. Would definitely recommend and I would stay here again, no question!

Not at all impressed with the buffet breakfast offering at this hotel. Food poorly cooked and presented. No knives for some unstated reason. Wanting a refund on the breakfast voucher - can I get it ?

We were seriously disappointed with this hotel. the hallways and the rooms reeked of smoke. I will say that the staff changed our room several times when we complained it smelled like smoke but it made no difference. There is a poor ventilation system throughout the building so the hallways and rooms stunk even when we switched to a totally different floor.Breakfast is all Taiwanese/Chinese style, nothing special, pretty standard for most Taiwanese hotels.Besides that, I think this is one of the few hotels weve been to in Taiwan that offers a king sized bed. Its only 300m away from Liuhe night market and the decor of the hotel is pretty cool.

A hotel with a high CP value is very close to the night market. It is convenient to buy things near the restaurant. The restaurant has a good ecological service, and the breakfast is delicious. It is worth it. The bed in the hotel is very comfortable. , Shampoo, etc., there are quite a lot of items, there is a parking lot, there is no need to let the public always find a parking space, you can directly unload your luggage into the hotel, it is worth staying at the hotel Good

Clean hotel at super affordable prices and is conveniently located.Rooms get snatched up quickly so you got to book earlier in advance.Nice traditional breakfast nearby.

A very comfy hotel. Close to the night market, about 4-5 minutes walk. The lobby provides many card games and a soccer table. Room is very spacious, some comes with sofa. It is clean and has everything needed. For breakfast, got many choices but does not suit our taste, however they provide toast and nutella. Drinks such as coffee milk and juices are provided. If you drive, you can park at the basement, and when you check out, inform the lobby your license plat to have free parking. On the other side of the hotel is a two level game arcade, so many games, had fun here for 2 hours. Price of the room is affordable and is quite cheap if the location and the services are taken into consideration. Overall very satisfied with the property.

A king size bed into a small room, so there isnt much space to move around. But room and toilet is very clean. Breakfast also has good varieties

Nice little hotel with quite small room but a very big "king size" bed that could accommodate 3 person, really comfortable for 2 only that Wifi not as great. Provide hairdryers... Walking distance to 六合夜市... Strongly suggest to buy the breakfast voucher at NT79 which in buffet style n a variety of choices... Or u could go opposite the hotel n have the best seafood noodles soup n roasted chicken leg rice/ burgers, strongly suggest too...

they did not reserve our original room Double room, stating ventilation issues. Gave us breakfast meal vouchers as compensation and a slightly smaller room with some floor defects near toilet - room 810. Breakfast starts at 7am till 10am.Booked a window view room, in the end is a windowless room. Toilet ventilation is quite bad and wet floor is hard to dry off. different from last time Hotel Fun management, they manage the hotel better. Basic toothbrush, razor, showercaps, soap provided. Bathtub is huge though. Walking distance near to city council stn.

The AC is as cold as a freezer. The room was very simple with no chair or table, only 2 beds. But the price was cheap. Breakfast was good enough.

We have booked a US$400 family room (two beds 4 people). First of all, when we arrived at 7pm they don’t have any capark left for us. They asked you to park in a car park in other side street where you will be charged for parking lot. Second, they only provide two room cards per room. It is okay if they don’t have elevator security that yu have to use your room cards for accessing floors. However they do. Which means 4 adults activity are limited by juggling the room cards try to access the hotel facilities such as laundry 11floor and lounge and game rooms at 12 floor.Lastly, they provide breakfast buffet or you can buy it. However, if they run out of stuff, they run out and won’t serve anymore. In my case, they run out of milk at 9am, so no cereals, and coffee and tea provided. This is really a less than 3 stars hotel.Funny enough, within this month, I have traveled to Sydney, wellington, Bali island and Kaohsiung. I was in YHA Sydney and YHA wellington which is around $600-800twd per night, I have far more better experience than this us$400 hotel.

Overall great stay. Id recommend this place.Well air-conditioned and clean private room. While there are some negatives to this stay, Id say the stay was overall positive.Sound proofing can be improved. I stayed on the 11F, where the hostel rooms were, and its right beside the laundry machines. I also could hear people talking and closing doors.The showers also leaked everywhere. I made the mistake of bringing my cotton slippers into the bathroom and leaving them right outside the shower doors. When I came out, the whole area was soaked, my slippers included.

I love it so much... the hotel is spic & span... the design is so cool good for all ages... the staffs are very accomodating, polite, efficient & courteous... they try speaking english & its manageable... rate is affordable... highly recommendable...

I liked the options for single rooms for budget backpackers with towels and basic personal care items provided at such a great value. Its very close to the Liuhe Night Market and a few convenience stores such as Family Mart, 7-11 and PX-Mart. Good to have hairdryers, washing machines and dryers provided for free (however washing powder at own cost). Ideal for traveller that prefers a convenient and quiet place. Itll definitely be helpful that if hooks for hanging clothes & towels are available in the room as well as bathrooms.

The Fun Hotel is well located, for those doesnt want the bustling noise, this place is ideal, within 5mins walk to City Council MRT. Near family mart. Along the same Luihe Road night market.
