ホテル雅叙園東京 有形文化財「百段階段」 - Art museum in Nishishinminato, Japan
Cant say anything about the rooms, but man, the lobby and the restaurants, gangways and everything is soooooo beautiful. Never have I seen anything like this. Beautiful garden inside, including Japanese bridges (even in the toilet). If you ever wanna stay somewhere in Tokyo and also experience Japanese culture, this is the hotel to come to.
Nice exhibitions all the times. Gorgeous place with nice Japanese small courtyard to stroll. The lifts inside are covered by arts.
I came here for the Mango Afternoon Tea experience, and it was quite delightful! The location is absolutely gorgeous, but the desserts were phenomenal! They also had a great selection of teas included as part of the afternoon tea set. I paid a little extra for the champagne with the set, which was probably unnecessary, but was still a great accompaniment for the afternoon tea!
I loved the room that we stayed in. There was a large window with a nice view of the greenery outside. The staff is very professional and kind. We asked to move our table during the breakfast and they did so right away. The breakfast buffet was very nice and the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. Lovely place to stay if you want to experience a luxurious Japanese style room. Its also conveniently located. Recommend 10/10.
Absolutely gorgeous traditional Japanese hotel right next to Meguro station !Very beautiful private rooms for dinner 🍽 !I went there for a private party and couldn’t stop looking at the architecture and painting on the wall made by authentic artist. The bathroom on the first floor is also VERY UNIQUE and worth a visit !!😂❤️Perfect place for weddings and also the garden with pond is breathtaking !Beautiful place also to have afternoon tea.
The hotel calls itself a “museum hotel” and it certainly lives up to the name. There are works of art throughout the property and even a garden with beautiful waterfalls. It has a feel of refined opulence throughout the property. The hotel also has another side to it as well. It’s called the Hyakudan Kaidan, a venerable, well preserved piece of the original building, that dates back to 1931 and has been designated as an important cultural treasure. It started as a restaurant and then became a banquet hall. It’s now a museum offering a glimpse of a bygone era.If I were extremely wealthy, I would consider staying at this hotel. Until then, I will just enjoy the ambiance in the public areas and pretend that I am.
Very beautiful place in the heart of Tokyo. The American grill served with an excellent vegetarian meal, with the prior booking.View breathtaking.Cozy atmosphere. Relaxing outdoor walk.
Magnificent decor and excellent lunch buffet. Must visit their 100 staircases with Ikebana exposition, perfect representation of traditional Japanese art.
I came here to participate an event at night. It was a unique hotel with beautiful interior. It took me 15min to get to the site, but it was enjoyable watching water fountains and intriguing Japanese wall art in the hotel. I might use this hotel next time my in-laws come visit us from USA.3 stars, because I dont know how its like to stay over.
Very well-known and establish hotel esp for wedding. Some rooms have mist sauna installed (and that was just perfect for someone longing for sauna over a yeartatami mattress in the middle of the room was while keeping the taste of Japanese culture.
Love the waterfall and Japanese decorations all the place , including toilet was like a museum! So gorgeous and elegant in Japanese style!Very popular for Japanese photo wedding and ceremony!
OK. This is crazy but this hotel has such a cool toilet! Loved the garden and the elecatoe too. You can visit in even if you dont stay at the hotel. Popular for weddings.
Amazing value in that staying at the hotel also gives access to the executive lounge where they give unlimited access to free drinks/small midday snacks/breakfast. I found that I was mostly full after being served the various snacks and drinks throughout the day.Being a guest also gives free access to an art tour where they take you around the entire building as well as the attached museum which normally costs around ¥1000 per adult
The hotel is so fancy. I came here for meeting and having dinner. Albeit the building is similar with other modern building however the interior is fusion between modern and traditional. You will see how the japanesse traditional decoration in modern and fancy way look like. The meals served here are also fusion of modern and traditional cuisine. The building is really big, neat, exclusive, and clean. I went here because it is paid by company and maybe I could not afford if it is only by myself. However if you have enough money and want to experience the japanesse culture in fancy way then this hotel will suit you.
One of the most impressive hotels I have ever been to. I much preferred this place to even Okura hotel. I absolutely loved their interior decor, the layout and everything about it. The Japanese traditional decor is breathtaking, definitely worth a visit.
Wonderful complex for hotel, banquet, cafe and restaurant!! Especially they respect Japanese beautiful all over this building and interiors!! Looks wonderful. There are many pictures on the corridor. Many fancy restaurant here. All looks gorgeous!! Hotel floors are above 5th. The room is gorgeous and modern, so comfortable!! You must stay here if you want to really nice Japanese beauty!! Enjoy!!
I am one of the studio ghibili admirers, so this was a fantastic opportunity to visit the place that inspired the look and feel of spirited away. But in saying that, this property and hotel is absolutely breathtaking. I also had time to eat here and it was absolutely delicious!! And the staff were all lovely and very polite.
I went there for my friends wedding. Its a beautiful venue with delicious traditional Japanese food. I had the option to choose a vegan menu that was still Japanese style food. It was some of the best food I ever had. The service was very good and the organization of the wedding reception was awesome.
I came to celebrate a friends birthday with a light snack at the classy Pandora. Live piano music fills the air with a posh vibe, airy, fine pieces of furniture. The lobby and corridor is reminiscent of the old Japan that strikingly blends with the contemporary. A garden with the iconic huge, red umbrella offers a haven for photographers. The interiors are spectacular. Even the tiniest details of Japanese art, and a sense of harmony with nature is truly remarkable.
An extremely nice and luxurious hotel. I did not stay at the hotel, however I was there for a business trip. Everything is highly detailed and well place. Looks like there is a mini village in the hotel also. A large assortment of conference rooms from the second floor and up. There is also a 1 million dollar restroom on the first floor. The food was average though...
Gorgeous!!!! We didnt stay, just visited for New Year celebrations, we went on the 3rd which was the last day. Absolutely beautiful, helpful staff. Lovely high tea, with a beautiful view of their little waterfall and koi pond. Wandering performers were wonderful, and staff would sometimes step in and offer to take photos for you, when the performers were interacting with you. Problem 1 - people leaving there stuff on the seats for performances and wandering off. And smaller performances didnt have chairs, and we were travelling with a person using wheelie walker. Problem 2 - not the hotels fault but the taxi driver didnt know where he was going and dropped us off at the back of the building, it is only about a 5 minute walk to the front, but fighting a chilling breeze, with a person using a wheelie walker was a challenge.
We visited the Hotel Gajoen for lunch specifically to see its garden and secondly the hotel itself. There is a display in the lobby not far from the entrance where you can read about the interesting and colorful history of the hotel. The hotel and garden are elegant, gorgeous, and filled with art. The lobby bathrooms are nothing short of amazing and must be experienced. The garden, in true Japanese style, is a miniaturized landscape. I would love to return and eat at the restaurant with the big glass windows looking into the garden. We dined at one of the less expensive cafes in the adjacent annex, but now that Ive experienced how spectacular the hotel is I think it would be worth a splurge.
