This 2,000-acre wildlife park features animals viewed from vehicles, plus dining & souvenirs.
Very worthwhile to visit. The best out of all the Chimelong areas and parks. Theres a special bus that takes you to and from this park from the nearby subway. Not that crowded in general, it seems. If you have a car, you can actually take that in and do your own driving tour of some parts.
Beautiful view from cable car ride, animals without cages. It is incredibly exciting and fun. I get to see all kinds of animals, love the tiger cub nursery and the elephants.Theres just a lot to see at this park!Visit this Safari park when youre in Ghuangzhou, you will love it.
Awesome animal park. Many wild animal species are kept in very nice environment. This park is much different than any other parks. Most of the animals are kept out of cages and free to roam around. Proper care is taken for less disturbance to animals while interaction with tourists. The birds are so cute and adorable. Awesome species of birds. I like all the the designs used for demonstration at various parts. The enclosed bus surrounded by tigers is great experience. Educational for all ages. Very entertaining place. Nice and helpful staff. English speaking staff. Detailed and clear instructions. Drinking water and food stalls available. Cash and card payments accepted. Taxi available at the entrance. Thanks for the services.
Guangzhous Chimelong Safari Park has got to be the best wildlife park weve ever been to. The animals were well taken care of. The place does not restrict the movements of the animals as well. They also have efforts in preserving animals such as pandas, koalas, and tigers. This is a good place to visit with kids (toddlers, or infants). There are lots of animals to see, especially pandas, and tigers. There is lots of restrooms with changing tables. The place has a cable car, as well as a tram. We chose the tram ride because we thought there is more to see there. The queue was long but moves quickly. Just beware of people trying to get ahead of you in line. This bested Singapores Safari experience. Be prepared to walk, like a lot though 😁 We went there in the morning and finished late in the afternoon. Bring snacks when you go here. The food was just so-so.
Very nice, big park, many kind of animals
Is very good for family travelers~animals from the whole world like kangaroo~ zebra~ also have play ground and 4D movie for kids
Wonderful experience at this Safari park
There are so many animals in the park including white tigers, koala bears and pandas.A tips to walk through the park without repeat the path is enter by north entrance and take safari train first, then walk anti clockwise of the park. You can download the app or the get map guide at the information station. You can take the cable car for sightseeing the park from the sky but is a bit boring to me.
Awesome safari zoo! Be sure to take the train to see loads of animals easily. If you go earlier be aware restaurants inside the zoo do not open until noon.
Very nice place. Wish we couldve feed some animals.
Big zoo with lots of wildlife..
Big amount of animals in relatively nice conditions, not only for children but also for adults. The area is huge. Reserve a whole day if you want to see most of the animals and the shows. The giant pandas are my favorites, a must see!
Great place for a family outing! Much much much better than the Singapore zoo, by far!
the most expensive day we spent in china and its packed even on a Thursday but overall we had a great time. panda panda we love pandas
Good experience.
One of the best zoo of the world with much more options to explore the safari park, by cable car, by toy train and by your own car too. One can see lots of animals roaming around without any disturbence. You must visit this park at least one time in your life, most enjoyable by children
Huge safari park and lovely panda
This is one of the best zoos so entertaining and gigantic to walk but the newest cable cars now save you the trips and time a lot. There are restaurants and food kiosk to fill you up. Love the wild animals like the Panda and you can feed so many of them (need a wechat or alipay to purchase most of the animals food, no cash accepted). There are children game zone with mechanical games and movies to watch.
Great and Convenience location!
Quite a large collection of animals. The overhead trolley ride and the safari is a must do. The park has used the limited space in a very intelligent way to give the visitors feel of a safari.
It is pricy, but totally worth it!! The animals are health, active and clean!! This is not the first time we see the panda, but definitely the closest and cleanest ! The pandas are active, moving around, not like the others just lay down there behind the glass. The hotel is very kids friendly and the service is very professional, the food are amazing!
Well maintained, easy to go around using cable car or toy train ( small trains)🚆. You can feed animals here. Around 12 to 15 tigers are there.
One of the best zoos in the world. Lots of animals and most are housed in rather spacious enclosures. The drive through the park where the animals roam about is nice but not spectacular. Nevertheless, it ranks up there with the San Diego Zoo, the Omaha Zoo etc. Best time to go is in the cooler months away from the sweltering tropical heat.
I visited Chimelong Safari Park while visiting my girlfriends family, and took my little cousin. Over all it was a great day. If a zoo and a theme park had a love child this would be it. There are two parts to the park the Safari (aka Safari on wheelsand the exhibits (aka Safari on foot). The Safari is a drive through attraction where you can drive though using your own car or catch one of the tour trains. While using your own car cost an additional admission if you can this is the better option as you can take your time and stop and look at the animals you like. This is what we ended up doing. The trains just drive past and dont give you much opportunity to watch the animals. The tame animal deer, peacocks, giraffe etc all roam free as you drive through. The others like bears, lions, tigers, hippos etc are in open enclosure which are very close. Over all the Safari on wheels was a great experience all of the photos below were taken as I was driving. The only criticism is that there were too many cars going though the Safari and there could be traffic at spots. Also be sure to go to the bathroom before you start the drive through as there is nowhere to stop. The Safari on foot was also a good experience there is a wide variety of animal exhibits and some good shows to watch. The shows are more showie than you would expect from a western zoo but are still good. Food options are a typical Chinese theme park affair and nothing to write home about. Over all it was a great full day experience. Combine with Chimelong Paradise (them park proper with rollercoasters and the likesnext door you could easily spend two days on property.
Really Enjoyable day at the Zoo. The train ride was excellent along with the sky lift. They both make it feel like a real Safari. Tiger feeding was exciting too. Stroller rental was totally worth the price. Overall fun place for a day trip.
The Safari was nice and big, with cable cart access to view the animals from above. Although, there werent as many animals as we expected and the food options are quite limited so definitely eat before you go. Overall, a good experience
Different kinds of animals and birds to see, which should be appealing to children. The circus performance is also exciting. However, food courts at the safari park and at the Panda Hotel are not good. Expansive with very limited choice. Suggest to go to Guangzhou town center for better meals and choices if sufficient time available.Overall, the resort area is good at hardware structure. The main problem is, just like many "grand" establishments in Mainland, the software part. Yes, software. As always, the human factor. Management and efficiency are not up to standard, especially the food ordering system at the food courts. Chaotic and low efficiency. Also, people smoke whenever and wherever they like. They dont know what is the rule of law, let alone the meaning of fairness. They dont like queuing but prefer shortcut and fast track.Unless the Chinese gain the mindset of rule of law, China cannot be ranked among the top-class countries in the world. In conclusion, not too bad for a 2-day vacation there.
Definitely the best zoo in China and the best I have been to. A lot of animals and a lot of varieties, much more than any other places. The place is also well organized and clean, and have a safari that allows self driving cars. Wonderful experience, must go.
Well engineering zoo with many new born animals breed here...
I love their Panda park. They still do the animal shows.
I have to say this is the best zoo in China, have almost all the animals on this planet. Lots of different topics, but the thing is, soooooooo many customers in the park, so it’s better to go on the slack season
Great family experience. The park is amazing and well managed. Cable car is a must. You can see the swan lake and African park from the top. The park is clean with clear road signage and directions. Highly recommend!
Expensive 350 yuan but plenty of attractions avoid free bus safari ride through the park. Long lines and wait and then bus drivers too fast and does not stop to allow you to see animals
Fab zoo and safari park. All the animals are housed in nice spacious areas and all have an indoor and outdoor section. You can also feed the elephants and garaffi for ¥50.It feels more like a "western zoo" rather than a "Chinese zoo".There are long queues to enter the park, however due to the size of the place it never feels too overbearing. The entry fee includes all the animal shows, unlimited use of the 3 cable car lines and entry to the safari on wheels section. Great value for money.
Great experience for adults and children. Wildlife park is beautiful. We opted to Self-drive through the park. You can stop and take pictures. The tram is nice but doesn’t stop.Excellent restaurants and he circus was fabulous and entertaining.Be ready for humidity depending on time of the year.
Big park for family trip. If you have children between 8-14 it will be fun
Nice zoo, lot of excitement for kids...we have plan our route before entering..otherwise we cannot cover full
The most amazing place!! Need to visit with children!!
Fair price for animal feeding... Are had a great time there
Very well maintained wildlife park, easy access by metro, bring more water on hot day since most of the park area is outdoor.. cable car was closed during my visit since a wedding event was held in park,, such a let down.. should plan for two day visit, its too much to see for just one day
Its a good place for you to spent your weekend with beloved ones
Great place to go with kids. Safari is an awesome experience.
Very neat and well developed. They have almost all species. Must visit place in Guangzhou
Great zoo with lots of various species of animals.
Unexpectedly the place is sizeable and well maintained. The interior looks quite new and definitely not torn off although the hotel opened certain years ago. The food provided by their Chinese restaurant is good and decent. But there are more than one hotel lobby so the travellers could get lost or reach the wrong spot easily if they do not aware of this.
Very big, clean and animal are so much lively compare with Singapore zoo
Best zoo
This is a great place, but its very crowded to visit if on Chinese public hoilday, too many people.
Confinement of animals are sad. Animals looked depressing and shockingly birds feathers are plucked.. So they cant fly...
Very big sanctuaries for the animals and birds and are more accessible to watch or to take photos comparing with other zoo. Many restaurants and shops and the facilities are clean and well maintained.Recommended for family visits and people with patience. The Chinese crowd may make you frustrated or gasping for air at some occasions, but overall you will be satisfied with the visit. One more thing, avoid going to the wheeled Safari with the Parks provided wagon. It wont stop anywhere, basically it will race through the Safari and you wont be able to take any photos or enjoy the animals for even a few seconds.Suggest to take a taxi with some friends and go slowly at each location.
